Hi Everybody,

It's another week again already, wow!

We went out to eat several times last week and I have gotten pretty good about checking out the website menus for cleanest choices before hand! I'm quite encouraged that restaurants are really accomodating us clean eaters for the most part with pretty yummy choices!

I finally caved in and bought some sugar free chocolate to indulge in every once in a while... It sure tastes yummy! And it is gone oh so fast...:(

I made me a snack with oatmeal and chocolate whey powder just to see if it would help my chocolate craving... Well, it was so so, I would probably have to add some real chocolate for some bites here and there of the real thing...

I hope you are all staying on track with your goals, doing well plannig your meals and workouts and staying motivated!

Have a great week!

Hey everyone! Cendrine, I have a hard time with eating out. I just feel like we can never even believe the nutritional info because we can't measure our portions and stuff when we're out. But we do the best we can, right? : )

I am doing well, although I did eat a Fiber One bar today (those chocolate/oats bars are soooo good). But I promised myself I won't eat anything else like that today. I have been trying to drink a cup of unsweetened chocolate almond milk for my sweet tooth (when it's really bad and I am about to just go ballistic). It's only like 50 calories and not sweet at all but for some reason it helps me a lot.

Will be back later to post food and workout. We'd love to hear from the rest of you guys - RB, Murphy, Rhea, cocob1?

I've never tried almond milk, and chocolate almond milk I didn't even know existed... I will have to look around next time I shop. I suppose it would be by the rice and soy milk area, right?

I saw you posted you were going to make the protein cookies today, how did they turn out? I hope you like them!

I know you mentioned in your food listings homemade protein bars, what recipe do you use for those?

Hi workoutaholic and all of you!

I was going to ask a few BFFM questions to clarify.

Since starting BFFM in February I have been almost exclusively cheat free. But I know Tom allows for some cheat meals.

What exactly is the definition of a cheat meal? Is it that you stay in your calorie budget but get to eat not so clean ingredients or is it that you can acutally go above your calorie budget for that cheat meal as well?

And how many cheat meals are ok? I eat 35 meals a week. How many of them can be cheats according to him? I can't remember where he talks about it and was hoping you would remember...

I ate clean all week, have a maintenance level day tomorrow and am really looking forward to it!

I'm kind of thinking though that i need to reread the book again, I think some info may stick more not that I have been trying to stick to most of the basics for two months.

How is everyone else doing?

Did you like those cookies, workoutaholic?

Have a nice weekend!

Hey all! Well my husband decided the other day that he wasn't going to do P90X, so I was all secretly excited that I was going to get to do STS. Now he wants to do again, so we are starting in a few weeks. ;)

Venuto suggests 1-2 cheat meals a week, but I'm not sure about the calorie thing. I'll have to check into that, because I really should know. I usually have my cheat day on a higher calorie day and make sure I don't go over maintenance on that day.

And yep, that's where the almond milk is...the one I buy comes in like a rectangular-shaped container.

I used the recipe from the Clean Eating Diet Cookbook for the protein bars. They were ok, mostly because you got to put some dark chocolate in them. : ) The serving size was really small, but I added up the calories from all my ingredients and they were way less than what the book said, so I'd usually eat two as a meal. Let me know if you'd like the recipe.

Did you say chocolate?:p then by all means I would love to see that recipe!

I tally up the numbers of what I make on my own too, because it seems that that is a more accurate way to figure out the calories.
