Cathe's Nov rotation....bringing it HOME! WEEK 4!

This morning's workout was Circuit Max. Listen to THIS! I keep a notebook with ALL of my Cathe workout sheets to track weights, and I use this notebook with every EVERY single Cathe workout. Well, this notebook told me this morning that I haven't done CM since 2004! lol 2004? Where did the time go? I remember that I LOVED this workout and I went thru a circuit phase where I did TONS of circuits! LOL It was great this morning!

Did you all see what's on tap for tomorrow??? I won't spill the beans if you haven't looked yet. Just get ready to double knot your shoes and get a gallon of water ready! LOL

OK...kids have a half day today. I'll be doing NOTHING this morning, other than FUN stuff like surfing the net, online gift shopping, maybe read some of my book. Clean up a little bit.

OK....time to get them ready for the bus!

Bring it on baby!

Let the gauntlet begin! last week of my FIRST rotation EVER! it was very nice not to have to think about what to do and when... if not for the few curves life threw, I managed to keep up pretty good... can't say that it was perfect, or that I did every rep on every DVD, but I gave it all I had each time!

So, overall I am counting this as an ALMOST success... and in another 7 days a COMPLETE one!!!

Hi Gayle: Well, I haven't see what's on tap for me today, but sounds like you are doing CM... I don't have that one so I think I have MM or maybe DM planned... I just did BC yesterday so I will be a hurtin' unit tomorrow!

Kim: hope you are hanging in there too! I think it has whittled down to us last three or four if Lala1 is hangin' with us too! :)

Well, I'm just reporting workout 1 week 4 done!!! I switched things up a bid because I did BC yesterday I didn't think I could stand doing MM today... so I did High Step Circuit! was sweating big time towards the end... I need to get me a High Step... I always turn my regular step sideways and use it that way, but since I got the "real" Original gray step, I only have enough for 2 risers high on both sides... if I get a High step I will get 4 additional risers and will be able to go 4 high when using the original step as a bench! oh my... that was a mouthful!

Kim: hope you enjoy(ed) your day of rest! we have worked hard this month and can see the end in sight... if only to work out hard and be able to take T-day a bit light and not feel as guilty! I really do like the rotations so will just have to see what Cathe puts out for December and see what DVD's I have that I can manage... if not maybe we can come up with our own rotation for December and do it together as well?!

Gayle: LOL at your binder (in plastic covers no less) for ALL your workouts!!! and WOW 2004??? but I am guessing (without having to really look) that you have a pretty extensive Cathe library so would have more variety and series to keep you busy... I only have aout 10 now and I use most of them several times a month! I don't have Circuit Max, but have Drill Max, so I will be doing that one sometime this week I think... maybe even Thanksgiving day, but haven't looked at the rotation that closely for the week!

Tuesday

Hi, ladies. Happy rainy Tuesday here in PA.

Day 2 of week 4 is done. Today was Cardio Fusion! WOW! This one is always hit or miss for me. Sometimes, I can get all the way thru it no problem, and other times my heart rate just SOARS thru the roof. Today.....I got all the way thru it with no problem! Other than a big sweaty mess and not enough water in my jug! LOL It felt great. But I'm needing no impact tomorrow. My PF is acting up from yesterday's Circuit max and all the impact today.

Today is another half day for the kiddos. Older DS has a basketball scrimmage tonight. Other than that, it's a quiet day.

OH! Since you're all talking about what to do in December. I'm going to wait and see what Cathe comes up with for a rotation. But I just got my new Kettlebell Godess workout last week and I want to start using it next week, so I'll be winging it for a bit, PATIENTLY waiting for STS to arrive! :)

Day 1 of Week 4 done! I always find Circuit Max difficult! Has anyone notice the background excerciser (?Hope) with such terrible form on the weightlifting. Kind of looking forward to Cardio Fusion tomorrow .:confused:

Gayle Hope your PF gets under control quickly! Will you do PS Legs tomorrow?

Dani I broke down and ordered the high step with money mom gave me for my birthday last year. Super expensive to ship to Canada! But I love having it! I also have an extensive Cathe library (hmm, actually I have all her workouts) LOL

I always love joining in with people for monthly checkins and often do Cathe's rotation but most likely won't do the December one as we're gone for 10 days on a Caribbean cruise in mid December!! Then Christmas hits. I might do the first week of the December rotation if it looks good or I might do the CTX series as designed then we are gone. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D But I will be eager to get back into things after Christmas.

Hi ladies: WO2, Week 4 done!!! I did Drill Max tonite and boy was it a killer... I do admit that I couldn't do all the lunges or pushups... Cathe is AMAZING! Like the energizer bunny! I just don't have it yet, but I'm working on it!

Kim: Yeah on getting your High Step! I might be putting that one on the Christmas list but DH wil lprobably just say "buy it and it'll be from me"... so, what am I waiting for?!? I'm so jealous on your cruise! I hope you have a wonderful time and be thinking of us while you are sippin' something yummy by the pool!

and Yes, I ordered STS so that is what I'm planning on doing after it arrives (hopefully January's rotation and beyond!) that and getting really serious after the Holidays with my eating too!

Gayle: rain is always a bit of a bummer, but I would gladly take some here in Vegas! supposed to rain on T-day, but what we call rain here, others call a brief sprinkle! :) Sounds like you are just cruisin today and will be a fun day with the kids! Good job on the CF too! I have done the "run out of water" thing too... especially when doing heavy cardio! I am resisting the KB phenom at the moment, as I have spent entirely WAY too much money in the past few months on getting into Cathe, so I will live vicariously! Hopefully I can make it through STS without giving in!


have a great evening and it will be a short work day for me tomorrow, all goodie shopping done this afternoon, so tomorrow afternoon will be for working out and straightening the house... just the 2 of us for T-day, so no stress here!

WEDNESDAY

Kim.....tough life, hugh? A 10 day cruise, and to the Carribean no less! LOL I really REALLY hope you enjoy yourself completely! Planning on taking any fitness classes while aboard??? I have to say how JEALOUS I am of you right now. A cruise is the ONE thing that I've longed for, for quite some time. It's on my life list of things I WILL DO before they bury me!!!

Dani-I resisted the KB trend for some time too. But I found a REALLY awesome deal on KBs AND a DVD. GNC.com had them all on sale, plus 10% with a Visa card, PLUS free shipping. I think I paid $25 for a 10 AND a 15 KB total! Then the DVD I bought off the yaya swaps for $20 shipped.

My rough plan for December is to do the new KB workout twice a week, and insert cardio and/or weights around that during the week. I'll have to learn to see if the KB workout feels like a weight workout or more like a cardio to me. I'm really REALLY looking forward to it.

OK......today's workout IS DONE! This morning was another early workout. PS Legs & Abs. I didn't notice any bad form, but I also wasn't looking all that much! LOL That floor work, although boring with all those reps, gets me. I put a 15# db on my inner and outer thigh for those lifts, and on my pelvis for the tucks and WOWzers! lol DOMS tomorrow for sure!

Ladies, will you all be around tomorrow? Kim, what IS tomorrow for you Canadians??? All my family went to N Carolina to visit my younger sis, so it's just me and the boys for the next 5 days. We're going to rent some movies after school today for the weekend. I have a few books on my shelf to read. And I think tomorrow (for T-Day) I may treat them to a movie at the theater (we don't go all that often). I'm looking forward to a few days of R&R. Older DS has a basketball tourney that starts Friday night, so we'll be doing a bit of that as well. ALL GOOD STUFF, that I'm VERY thankful for!

My plan, workout-wise is to continue straight on thru this week with the rotation workouts as planned.

Hi All: it's wendesday morning and although I haven't gotten a real workout in today yet, I did get my heart racing a few times... Guess I better be careful what I wish for... Gayle, you mentioned rain yesterday, and apparently God mistook my Cathe's DM workout for the rain dance! Here in the desert it doesn't take much (heard .2" so far since last night) but the streets are flooding and it was a white knuckle drive to work today! we need it but just not all at once! It was coming down pretty good on the way

I'll be here tomorrow, in between putting the finishing touches on the cheese ball and cracker platter (my DH does all the cooking in our household ~ YIPEE!!!) so I just sit, watch and stay out of his way! So will be checking here as usual... will do whatever is on the rotation tonite and then get something in tomorrow before the football game, then probably veg the rest of the day... Friday will be a catch up cleaning day, and then Saturday I get my hair cut and highlighted!


well, sounds like we all have a plan for the week and the month! so we are off to a good start! Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving and I'll check in tomorrow and see who's around!

Oh my goodness, I'm finished Cardio Fusion and I'm exhausted! What a workout!

Gayle The R&R sounds nice! Tomorrow isn't anything in Canada, it's just a Thursday in November. I wonder how historically we have got the same holiday 6 weeks apart.Hmm, something to google sometime.

We're going on a 7 day western Caribbean Disney cruise. (DH and our 2 kiddos along with my sister,BIL and their 2 kids) The 4 kids are similar age and are very close. My sister went on a Disney cruise 2 yrs ago, and loved us and really wanted us to go with on one. We had to wait 2 years to save the money :confused: so it's a long awaited vacation. We're going down to Florida 3 days early and spending a couple days at Universal Studios (just one evening at Disney), we've done the Disney thing many times so trying something different.

I do see that Goofy runs some fitnes classes poolside so maybe I'll check those out :p:p

It was Circuit Max that I was noticing the terrible form during the weight lifting, I'm surprised that they let it go.

Dani You live in Las Vegas? What a neat place to live? Were you born there? I am sort of thinking of surprising DH with a weekend to Vegas for his 40th birthday next spring.
 
Thanksgiving Day in USA, Thursday

Happy Thanksgiving, ladies. What's on your THANKFUL LIST!?!?!?!?!?

Here's what I'm thankful for:
-my boys are healthy (and quiet right now, lol)
-my mom is doing well with her cancer treatment
-my home is warm, fridge and pantry are full of food
-I am surrounded by caring, generous, supportive WONDERFUL friends and family
-I AM ALIVE!!!!!

OK....started the day off by sleeping in. Gotta LOVE not getting up early for school! lol And I have a head cold and TOM hit yesterday. But ya know what? I'm THANKFUL anyway and feeling great!

I started the day off by throwing a pillow at my cat at 4am when he was meowing endlessly :) then got out of bed at 6:50 to workout. Pure Strength Chest, Shoulders & Tris. I'm itching and craving for some cardio. MAYBE later today I'll go for a run or something....we'll see. I rented some movies for me and the kids, SO is coming over later for lunch/dinner and to help me fix my surround sound system in my living room. I may take the kids to the movies. Not sure........just a R&R kind of day!!!

HOW ARE YOU LADIES???

Anybody going shopping tomorrow? I'm going to try. Since everybody is out of town (my family and my best friend), I'll see what I can do about the kids going somewhere to play. I don't need to get out early for any early bird deals, but there are a few things I'd like to get and get closer to finishing up my Chirstmas gift shopping. I'll be making a short list later today of the few things I still need to get.

Gayle: your energy and great mood is catching! I was smiling while reading it! Thank you for that! It helps surrounding yourself with positive people! Makes you feel like anything is possible... So, your workout sounds tortureous, but in a good way! I will find something equally as high energy and high calorie burning sweatfest workout today... my options are DM, KM, MM, ME or BC... not sure what is on the rotation, but I think I'm going to be a rebel and "go off the reservation" for the day! LOL!

Kim: I have been in Vegas for just short of 2 years, was actually born and raised in Eastern Washington, and really miss the Pacific Northwest. Alaska was a 5 year experience that I will never forget, both for good and bad reasons, but can't complain. Enjoy every day of your cruise and days in Florida! I don't think I could ever get DH on a cruise, and I'm not sure I'm wild about the idea either, but we have been talking about the Carribbean for a belated honeymoon next year, if money allows...



so, in the spirit of the day, I am Thankful for:

--good health, even if it is not where I want to be, but at least I have the capability to get there with a little hard work!
--great DH who deals with my qwirks and loves me anyway...
--for my furbaby who shows us every day how to love unconditionally
--for my family, even though they are more disfunctional than most.
--that our jobs are fairly secure especially with all the economic woes around us.
--a roof over our heads, food in the cupboards and a DH who knows how to cook it all!

I'm glad that you both had Thanksgiving days full of thanks.

I had a busy day and I'm also coming down with a cold (sore throat, sneezing). Had a busy day at work, picked up the weekly groceries, made supper and then watched Survivor. I was so tempted to not work out but we are so close to being finished this rotation, it motivated to pop in PS Legs/Abs. I feel that I can see the finish line now, no super hard workouts left this week!!

ah Kim... that's terrible that you might be (or are) sick! seems as it has been going around these days and a number of the people on here are getting hit with it! Take care of yourself!

Not sure what is on the schedule today, but will be doing whatever it is! ;)

No Black Friday shopping for me unless it is to replace my washer in my rental! :mad: still waiting for the word from the property manager, so not looking forward to spending $$ on that... but what can you do...

Got PS Chest/Shoulders/Triceps done, nice short workout for today as not feeling too great with this head cold.

Kim, you're not alone. I came down with a HORRIBLE head cold yesterday, and TOM hit hard as well. lol I was a complete MESS yesterday, but I was in an AWESOME mood! Go figure. Great job getting that workout in.

I was up this morning, and hoped that I'd be feeling better than yesterday, but I wasn't. BUT...I worked out anyway! LOL LIS cardio, plus PS back and biceps (yup....I skipped the abs today, so sorry! HA!). ONE MORE WORKOUT!

And although tomorrow is the last day of this rotation, it's also Press Play Saturday here in Cathe land. So I'm going to say good bye to our November rotation with CCPP tomorrow, either on the TM or the bike....we'll see which one is calling my name the loudest tomorrow.

I thought I had a plan for December, until I read FitnessFreak's December rotation! LOL It's looking good to, and it uses the 4DS and the GS. But I'd really LOVE to try out the new KBs, so that's what I'm sticking to (at least for now! LOL).

Time to get ready for DS's basketball game!

Still fighting this nasty head cold! I did do PS Back, Biceps/abs and Low Impact Step, thank goodness for a nice easy cardio workout. Taking dd to swim lessons and ds and I are going to try some laps while she's at her lessons.

I'm hoping for a nap this afternoon and then it's my nephew's birthday party this evening.

Hi ladies.. sorry for the late checkin! Did a TM programmed workout in lieu of CCPP today for Team Carola... but I think it was promtly negated by the popcorn, Milk Duds and soda at the movies... Oh, and did I mention fries with lunch? UGH!

We are DONE with November rotation! GOOD JOB TO ALL OF US!!! I will await Cathe's December rotation to see what she puts together, or may do FitnessFreaks December rotation... haven't decided which yet... I have most FF's Week 1 GS workouts, so it will work nicely for me... but want to "get ready" for STS... if that is even possible... I'm not sure what exactly that means, as I'm sure it will still kick my butt!

What are y'all going to do in December???
 
;)I was one day behind on the rotation as I wanted Mondays for my day off so just finished this morning! YAY!! Did 4ds Kickbox (cardio) and 125 lunges on each leg. Still feeling the effects of this headcold so not sure what I'll do today.

Dani, I think I'll take a few days off from excercising till my head cold is gone and then hopefully do one rotation of CTX before holidays. But I will check out Cathe's December rotation and see if it tempts me ;)
 
Hi, ladies! WE DID IT! Although I had a little bleep in the program at week 2, I stuck it out and I have to THANK YOU LADIES for that. Our little group DID IT!!! WOO HOO!!!!

Now, I know I said December was going to be KBs and other stuff, but did you SEE fitness freak's rotation? LOL I really think I'll be doing that instead. I just really work so much better when I feel like there is a PURPOSE to my workouts and rotations. Does that make sense? So......now my revised December plan is to do FF's December rotation, plug in some 1RM tests for STS and play with the KB workout when I can. lol Plan, yet free. lol
