Cathes Feb rotation Mon 2-13

Hi Phillis-
I picked up on the Feb rotation today with day 1 week 3. It is prescribed as Power Max and LIS. I don't hve either so I did SB + step only of SJP for my long cardio.

Phillis are you feeling the decrease in cardio from jan rotation to Feb rotation is OK? I 'm thinking I may need to a another short cardio in each week. I just was on vacation for a week and ate like I was on vacation, ( wink, wink!) therefore I'm thinking I may benefit from more cardio these next two weeks.

Hi girls. This week starts week two of the rotation for me. On deck was KPC and CTX Kickbox. I've started using 1 pound weighted gloves for kickbox and can really feel the difference on the intensity. I still don't work off a huge amount of calories with KPC but the 1 pound weights seem to help a little.

Judy: I too feel like I need to add a little more cardio with this rotation, but I'm trying to restrain myself. I want to keep with Cathe's intent of switching up long cardio and short intense cardio. I'm such a cardio junkie that if left up to me I'd be doing 90 minutes of cardio every day. This rotation is forcing me to change gears a little bit. It's hard, but I'm trying. I also have some sins from last weekend to atone for so I know exactly where you're coming from.

Hello everybody!! I took a week hiatus (unplanned!! ). I got into one of those "I don't want to exercise modes". Becky gave me a good talking to...LOL....I am back. I picked up where I left off. I did KPC through the abs, popped in Cardio Kicks and did the power drill section (15 minutes), then one full combo from the kicking and punching section with the stretch. 1 hour 35 minute w/o and 667 calories burned!! I need that too, haven't been eating the greatest. True to my form though, when the exercise goes south, so goes the eating!!

I'm glad to be back. I'll "see" y'all tomorrow!

Jane: Glad to see you're back. It looks like you and I will be on the same schedule now.

Phyllis: I forgot to comment on your upper body DOMS. When I first read it I thought you were going to say you got your DOMS from shoveling snow. I consider my back muscles the strongest of my upper body but have to say that they are a little bit sore today. That snow we had over the weekend was bad because it was wet on the bottom and dry on the top (it's usually the other way around). The stuff on the bottom kept sticking to the shovel which made every scoop harder to toss than it should have been. Ugh! I should have strapped on my HRM before going out because I'd be really curious how many calories I burned!

Welcome back Jane! I missed you!

I agree with all of you about the cardio aspect of the rotation. It doesn't seem like enough. However, it has some of everything. So, I believe that it is achieving the goal of keeping the muscles guessing. I too love cardio and would do it before everything else, but I know I need more. Phyllis
