Cathe's brainwashing .......

Do you ever notice thinking about Cathe's workouts subconsciously? I do that a lot. For example yesterday my hubby wanted to buy some parts for the bathroom and wanted to go to Home Depot. I said
" No lets go to Low Max, I saw cuter things there."
Hubby - "Hmmmmm.......you mean Lowe's..???"

Last week he mentioned that we might go to see a movie at the Imax theatre. Automatically I thought of which Imaxes I'm going to do this week.

Yes. I am weird. I am very aware of that. My hubby makes sure I don't forget that. :)

" They say hard work does not hurt anybody, but why take the chance."

Kathy -

I do the same thing. It's like some sort of word association weirdness!!!

I've often used workout names instead of the correct word for the situation.

Very funny!!!!

Every time I hear IMax theater, I think of my garage where I work out... LOL

But yes! I do that as well. I also find myself thinking of my DH as DH (not his name or anything else), and my DD's as DD13 and DD17. I do call DD13 that to her face - she's does role play and understands the lingo...

I don't know about brainwashing, but I've been having a serious case of "ear worms" (tunes you just can't get out of your head) for the last couple of weeks. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, some tune from one of the new workouts starts playing in my head. And it's usually not one of the 'top 40' type vocals, but one of the instrumentals. I ask myself, "where'd that come from,' and then I realize it's a new series tune.

I definitely think of Cathe workouts and some of her famous quotes at some very odd moments:)

Also, whenever I hear a song on the radio from one of Cathe's workouts, I mentally try to do the workout in my head. ("Tainted love" seems to be on the radio quite a bit lately:))

This is so funny. The other day after some friends and I had eaten lunch we had some cinnamon mints. Someone mentioned that the mint was burning her mouth and I responded "But it's a friendly burn."

Nevertheless, I got some weird looks and a few chuckles before I realized what I had said.

How funny! I am a teacher and we were getting ready to begin a challenging lesson today and I said "okay everybody, get your game face on!" They thought it was funny, but I knew I couldn't take the credit.

I am glad that I'm not the only one who does this! Heck after a while, I can even remember whole combos in my head. In fact, last spring I was getting an MRI if my neck and if you've ever had one, you know just how loud those tubes can be. Anyway, I had to keep very, very still and and could only swallow when they told me to.
It was making me a little anxious, so I started going through Low Max warm up and combos in my head and it actually soothed me enough to where I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep!!!

Not only am I Cathe brainwashed - I've instilled it in my kids. Whenever we get into our van to go someplace and I ask "are your ready?" my 5 and 8 year old daughters reply "double knot your laces and get ready to move on!" Too funny!

Yep, yep!!! She really has gotten to all us! Even if I am not working out, I tune the TV to Fitness channel and if she is on, I leave it on and just listen to her talking and exercising...

Obsessed!!!!
