Hurray, for KB Beavs!!! I am really liking KBs. If I could only get the clean down without banging the forearms. But Katie, my trainer assures me that I will get it. Maybe she don't know me :p

Catherine, I'm so relieved to hear someone who has had a real live KB session bangs their forearms. Mine are usually reddened for a day or two after a KB workout. I was afraid to post a question about it. LOL.

Another Groupie!! ;)

Hey Catherine~

I was looking into the Ader KB's and sent an email to AOS asking for a comparison to the ones they sell. The person told me Ader's are not a good choice for women because there is too much space between the handle and bell?? She suggested their "Diva" bells but they only go up to 27lbs. What to do?! Andrea sells them but hers are really $$$. How do you like the ones from performbetter? I need to get some soon so I can practice! TIA.

JJ

Yay for ROBIN and everyone else on my groupie list! ;)

The red forearms; oy. Mine are the perform better first place kettlebells but not the vinyl ones. I think they're beautiful! :p I guess I should maybe USE them soon. Sigh-- so many workouts, so little time...

I smacked my forearms because I wasn't paying attention... I was busy trying to figure out why the women on the dvd were wearing sweatbands from the 80s.

I so wish I was kidding.

I got some wristbands yesterday and just finished my KB workout with them - and they do help for sure.... I will be using them every time.... loving the groovy 80's cardio look too LOL.... Cant wait for my kids to see that one....

JJ, thanks for the info on the aders, that is good to know!!

Shelley, glad to hear that you don't smack your forearms. Robin is right though. I believe it is my wrists that is causing issue. I do wear a wrist band and it helps. I can do them without smacking, but it seems as I fatigue a bit it starts and I bruise very easily!!

Red forearms and KBs

I was looking at kettlebell videos on YouTube and saw a girl doing kettlebells and wearing wrist bands (sweatbands, like the kind you wear for tennis). Maybe you can prevent or reduce forearm banging by wearing those...

(Disclaimer: I haven't done kettlebells yet; am awaiting the arrival of mine!)
