Not Cathe, but I have never heard that before. Any form of cardio,
I believe should help you burn more fat, unless you are starving your body or doing way too much cardio, but I don't think doing step on 3 consecutive days would do that. The only thing that I have heard is that some people swear that they get a little bulky in the glute area or some complain of knee issues.

With that said though, It is always good to crosstrain:)

Hi Carrie! As written, no this statement is not true. I think what is being implied here is the importance of cross training. Your body will eventually acclimate itself to an activity if it is performed too frequently and for over a long period of time(but that goes for ANY activity, not just step). So, what gave impressive results initially, will eventually slow down and give only a portion of those results over a period of time (especially if nothing else but that same activity is performed in the EXACT same manner). By the same token, never changing an exercise also increases the risk of overuse injuries and exercise boredom.
