Where can I find this info? I am on the ACOG website but can't seem to retrieve this info. Secondly why exactly would a heart monitor not be as suficiant as the 2 to 5 word test while working out? I am ttc and really don't want to put the baby in danger when I do concieve. I was thinking of bying a heart monitor so I would not stress about the 2 to 5 word deal while trying to concentrate on working out. If you can go above h.r. of 140 while pregnancy then the ACOG should have a max right? So wouldn't a heart monitor be benifical for this? And where did you get certified for pre-natal care? I personally would be very interested in this for myself. Thanks for your time.

SIDE NOTE: I should also point out that ACOG has revised their guidelines in 1994 stating that is is now okay for a woman to get their heart rate above 140 while working out. They too recommend using a perceived exertion test to monitor your intensity level. I mention this to you since you will still find many people unaware of this change
