Cathe = ? WW AP

I was wondering how many points Cathe's workounts are equivalent to?
Would SJP = 8 points for someone at 145 lbs.? Would that workout burn 800 calories?
How would you rate the Muscle endurance and PH or the Strength workouts? The AP scale doesn't differentiate as to cardio or weights. If I prefer weights to cardio would I still get rid of the weight?
If walking is considered moderate...would a FIRM or Kelli Roberts tape still rate moderate ... compared to a Cathe they wouldn't be HIGH intensity but compared to walking...shouldn't they get more points?
How would you rate the CTX cardios? The WW board may not be able to help me with this...so I was hoping someone here might. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I would invest in a heart rate monitor if you are interested in knowing how many calories you are burning. I was overestimating in a big way the number of calories I was burning based on calorie charts that are on the internet (the ones where you enter your weight, type of exercise and duration of exercise). I weigh 133 lbs and I typically burn close to almost 200 calories for RS and Step Blast, 230-240 for KPC and Step, punch and Crunch and about 300 for Gauntlet of the Terminator DVD. With that being said, I did burn more calories when I first started working out ... as you workout, your body gets acclimated and your heart rate goes down and you burn less calories. That is one reason, it is so important to mix up and vary your workouts. As far as weight only workouts, you burn less during the workout as compared to moderate cardio, but supposedly, your after workout burn is higher with weight workouts. However, the total number of calories burned (workout plus after workout burn is higher with moderate and intense cardio). Therefore, you probably need to consume more points if you are doing cardio vs a weight only workout.

Cathy,

You've just convinced me! Only 300 with Terminator? MAN!!! If that's not an argument for watching your diet, I don't know what is!! It can all be so confusing too - I went to a nutritionist to determine my basal metabolic rate (which was aroune 1400), and she said to estimate in about 500 calories more per day for basic activity, and another 500-700 for workouts! It seems like no one really knows what's going on! At least heart rate monitors are monitoring you specifically - are they known to be accurate?
