Cathe workouts and calories

I have recently added Cathe to my routine and have noticed that I am more hungry. I was already going very heavy using the FIRM and doing lots of cardio. I know that Cathe is much tougher, but I was just wondering if others have experienced this. I lost 45 lb doing WW and the FIRM. I am trying to lose the last bit of fat that's on my stomach. I probably could lose 5 more pounds. I have been eating 30 -32 WW Points (roughly 1800-1900 cals.)with Saturdays being a bit more. Now that I've added Cathe to the mix, I can do the 30-32 for only a few days before I find myself so hungry that I wind up bingeing. Of course I hate how I feel when I do this, but it's happening nonetheless. I guess I'm asking for someone to say that it's okay to add more food everyday. I'm so afraid of gaining. I know rationally that I have to fuel the muscle and all of that. I'm just at a weird place right now with only a little left to lose. Thanks for your input/advice!

Jen,

Move up your calories so you stop bingeing. Even if you get too high of calories, it's better then too low as it will start to slow the metablism down some, especially if your finding yourself that hungry. You're body is crying for food.

And yes Cathe can up the calorie burn quite a bit, from the firm. The exact is hard to say, as everyone is different, for me it was 100 calorie difference, for another person it was 150, and two other people I know actually had a 300 calorie difference from the Firm workout to Cathe's. So if you do this for a few days and don't up the calories, you maybe having too high of a calorie deficit, and it will backfire on you can can even cause you to gain weight, even if you don't binge.

All I can say is play with it, add a bit more protein and carbs and see how your body does. As it's much easier to lose a pound for getting a calorie requirement too high, then to lose a pound after having too low for servaral weeks.

Hey Kit, thank you so much! I know you're right. It's funny that I have been the one telling friends of mine on WW and the FIRM that they need to eat more. I guess it's my turn now. Cathe's workouts are so awesome! I am so happy I made the leap. Thank again!

This has happened to me before whenever I increase intensity in my workouts, so I up my good protein intake (chicken and tuna in a can) and also drink more water to help with the cravings for more food...........that is my two cents........

Jen,

Your welcome, and I know how hard it is to make that step of eating more. As this amount has worked, why should I change it? It's a normal thought patten that most of us have. And can be hard to combat, with out some support of others. Good luck and I'm sure you'll see a lot of good muscle definition and watch that fat come off with Cathe.
