Cathe: Two Questions

Hi Cathe:

I have 2 questions for you. Well actually, the first is a question, the second is a request.

#1. What do you recommend as the single best exercise for a weak back, particularly the lower back? It's been a problem of mine for a long time.

#2. Some of us on the Discussion Forum have been discussing our, okay, their favorite "Bicep Moments" where they tell funny and even inspiring stories about compliments they've had from people about their toned arms and body in general. Debbie H, Rena, PRFitness and Khuynh have already shared some good ones. I'm sure you've had plenty experiences like that you could tell. Hopefully, someday I'll have experiences like those myself. You have already helped me a whole lot and I hope to continue making progress and shaping up my body. Also read "How I Discovered Cathe". Join us on the Discussion Forum. Thanks again more than you will ever know.

Sincerely,

Martina

For number one ... work those abs and do core work. The lower back weakness is a result of weak abs and core muscles.

Just my humble thoughts.

Keta. :D

Martina,
I'm not Cathe, but the thing that seems to help my lower back the most is Superman exercises. I had chronic low back pain until I got back into exercising 1-1/2 years ago and began getting stronger all over, but particularly those Supermans seemed to help a lot.

Hi Cruncholi:

Thanks for the info, but what are Superman exercises?

Thanks to Keta too.

Are you out there Cathe?

You lie on your stomach on the floor with your arms straight ahead like you're flying through the air like you-know-who. Then you lift your arms and legs at the same time. They are in S/H Chest and Back and also in BBA. Maybe there is another tape they are in, but it escapes me now.

I agree with the core work. The planks on the S&H have Strengthened my abs and back alot. Also working out on an exercise ball has helped my lower back.

Hi Martina! I am a little late getting over here but yes, I agree with the others, supermans, planks, and core conditioning exercises are great exercises for the lower back.

I hopped over to read about those bicep moments. They were great. Any story that I could share would pale in comparison so I will just stick to reading yours for more inspiration :)!
