Cathe: that @($#&)(@*# Low Max move! :-)

I just did Low Max today, and really enjoyed it...with one exception. I usually am able to get about 85% of your choreography on my first go-round (after a preview), and the moves I don't get right away, I pick up after 3 or 4 repetitions. But that "glide" move (walking off the side of the step, pivot, then a diagonal basic) is driving me nuts! I even replayed part of the intro to it to get more practice, but I always ended up on the wrong foot! (And because other moves are built on to this, it made a whole section of the workout very frustrating!). x(

I'd appreciate any suggestions for a "non-pivoting" substitution for that part of the move (I'm not fond of pivots anyway, and getting rid of one wouldn't bother me in the least ;-) ). One that would put me in the right place and on the right foot for the diagonal basic.

TIA!

I had trouble with this, and I usually have no trouble with anything.
I had to think real hard on which foot starts the pivot. I wanted it to be the sweeping foot that starts the pivot, but it is not. It is sweep, set that foot down and pivot with the other. Once I got that, I had no problm.

Oh, that step sweep... I had to transfer Low Max to our other DVD that can do slow-mo. That's how I figured out how to do it. The same with the reverse mambo. Had to watch that one in slow-mo. I wouldn't have figured it out otherwise. The moves are done pretty fast with no breakdowns. One of the rare times when I'm thankful I married a video and audio gadget geek.:)

Pinky--Glad I'm not alone with the reverse mambos. I swear it took me 30 minutes of rewinding to get it right. As a matter of fact it took me so long that I never got past it. By the time I mastered it my workout time ran out :-( I told my DH at this pace I will master LowMax in seven weeks :p
