cathe, shoulder injury question

Hi Cathe, I hope you are doing well and looking foward to this doozy of a snowstorm!! lol :)
I have a question about my shoulder, my left one (i'm a leftie) seems to hurt only if I move it a certain way. I haven't lifted weights for one week because it has been sore. Its not a very concentrated pain, but its there. I notice that its worse if I lift things (like my backpack full of books). Is there something I should do to help my shoulder heal?

sounds like when i had bursitus in my shoulder. i could not even lift a milk carton! i could not move my arm in a circle without pain. see an orthopedic if the problem continues.
 
it took a long time to heal with all the physical therapy but i can lift weights now. good luck!
 
Go see a doctor and get it check out, they'll be able to point you in the right direction as to workout or not or give you special exercises to do to make it better.

I'm glad to see you didn't ignore the pain but took the week off from lifting weights. You might have just over strained a muscle, or it could be something not as easy to fix, like a torn or weaken ligment. Either way get it checked you'll know for sure and you'll be able to take a plan of action. As all it takes is one time of lifting when it's weak and you can cause a whole lot of problems, and that's not fun.

Good luck I do hope your shoulder gets better, but you do see a professional about it so you know what it is and don't repeat the whole process.
