To know me and my DW is to know that we are Disney fanatics, and no matter where we go when we don't go to WDW, we always compare our experiences, and they always seem to come up short....not in this case!!
Think about it a minute...in its most basic forum, what is Disney World..it is nothing more than a few amusement parks built on swamp land in Central Florida..while that may sound fun..it doesn't sound like something that would keep me coming back, year after year. So, what makes Disney just that...the level of service, and the people. There's something about being in the Magic Kingdom, being greeted by employees known as Cast Members, taking a walk down Main Street, USA, that really does transport you to another time and place. People seem to care about you, the realize that you are more than 1 of how many millions of people that pass through the turnstiles every year, that make you feel like you are doing so much more than waiting in line to have your photo taken with someone in a mouse costume.
Now, to relate this to my Cathe RT experience....do you realize, gang, that we just gave up a summer weekend with our families, hopped on airplanes, trains, cars, did whatever it took to congregate at a health club in a strip mall next to a Big Lots and a Sears in New Jersey!!!!!...Sounds like real fun, huh????
What made it fun was, again, the level of service and the people involved. The first thing you noticed at the gym was the welcome banner...right away it hits you...they do seem to care, huh???...The people...not only Cathe, but her crew, her business partner, everyone at Cathe.com, her customer service..they all gave up their time to be with us, and not for one minute did it seem like it was something they were being forced to do. I know that I can only speak for myself, but I felt as though my time was as important to them as theirs was to me...I cannot tell you how much that matters to me!!
We shouldn't be surprised about the level of quality we experienced this weekend..just compare it to STS...sure, Cathe could probably release a watered down, decent workout, but folks, Cathe is meeting with music people from all over the country to make this product this best..in short..Cathe being Cathe, and I will patiently wait for STS to be released...and be quite content doing my other Cathe workouts.
Cathe, through her tireless efforts to be the best in the game, has earned my workout, and now RT dollars, and I am a most happy customer, and will be for years and RT's to come.
I need to mention one more thing that makes Cathe stand out, and it goes back to the first time I met her...I was shaking in my shorts driving up to take class, and wondering just how approachable she'd be towards me...what would I say??? Well, as it turns out, she came up to me....I was stunned, though as the following months have shown, I needn't have been..just Cathe being Cathe!
I want to close this with something my mother told me a long time ago...
When someone makes an attempt to do something nice for you, and falls ahort..thank them anyway
When someone meets your expectations, thank them a few times
When someone exceeds your expectations...thank them profusely
To Cathe, Chris, Cathe.com, the Cathe Nation, my fellow RT'ers, and everyone else involved with this incredible weekend...I thank you, profusely!!
