Hi Cathe!

In an effort to not have to think too much about new rotations and to as closely duplicate what you and your crew do to get those amazing results I have come up with the following excersice plan:

Day 1 - Total body weight training and sometimes a cardio + 10 min abs
Day 2 - Step workout + Chest (20 to 30 minutes)
Day 3 - Leg workout + Back (20-30 min)+ 10 min abs
Day 4 - Kickboxing workout + Shoulders (20-30 min)
Day 5 - Interval workout + Biceps (20-30 min)
Day 6 - Circuit workout + Triceps (20-30 min) + 10 min abs
Day 7 - Off

I just cycle through your workouts and do a different one every week for each day (therefore no thinking).

What do you think?

1. Is an hour and a half plus too long to be working out each day?

2. How do I fit in stretching such as your stretch max videos which would bring me to almost 2 hours a day?

3. How do I fit in an intense abs workout like core max, also 20 minutes long?

I want to do it all but I also want to be as efficient with my time as possible, but if that is what it takes in terms of exercise (I realize clean eating is also very important)to get your results please just let me know - I just don't want to waste my time doing more than I have to.

I teach at night (not aerobics) so 2 plus hours is a big chunk of the day if I don't workout while the kids are sleeping. Since I get home late it is hard to get up at 5 am. Also I definitely don't want my children to grow up thinking that all Mommy does is workout all the time. Though I am sure there are worse things.

If you are doing total body weight training on day 1, you should rest from weight training the next day and just do cardio. Also, if doing circuit workout, you may find that it already incliudes upper body weight training and then you won't need or have the energy for the additional triceps work on day 6.

I'be be tempted to rework it as follows:

day 1: Short CTX cardio and Muscle max (includes core)
day 2: Long step workout for cardio, (maybe Step Blast?) + stretch max segment
day 3: Leg workout + chest + back (from new Gym Style?)
day 4: Kickboxing (KPC? includes core) + stretch max segment
day 5: Imax 1, 2 or 3 + core work from Core max
day 6: Short CTX cardio + shoulders, biceps + triceps (from new gym Style)
day 7: rest + stretch max

This may still be too much cardio, so possibly take out the cardio from day 6 and really focus hard on the weight training or take out the cardio from day 1. I don't like to weight train on the same day as kickboxing because I find the whole body is pretty worked out already from this method of exercise.

Well, this is how I would tweak it and it includes core work aand stretching from Stretch max. See what you think.

Thanks for your response.

I think Cathe does do a body part per day and still does total body workouts. She mentioned in a post that she just rests for the body part that she will be training that day. I was also hoping to include a total body and circuit workout in my rotation so that I can use all her amazing tapes. Maybe it needs to be more like a two week rotation

Week 1 where it is shorter cardio every day of 30-45 minutes and then one body part for 20-30 minutes.

Week 2 do maybe 2 total body workouts and one circuit (or vise versa) and at least 60 minutes of cardion on those other days. Then I could probably fit in the stretching and core work.

I have no idea if this would get me any results or would just be a waste of time. Cathe if you are out there I'd would really appreciate your advice.

Thanks!
