Cathe or educated crowd-strengh work

Hi Cathe and others,

I have a quick question about the Pure Strength series and the upcoming gym-style workouts in the Hardcore series.

I generally like to work each body part twice per week in my strength training (e.g. once of my rotations includes doing Pyramid upper and lower body once each and one total body workout in the same week.)

I've ordered the new Hardcore series, and have heard nothing but raves regarding the Pure Strength series, but have never purchased it. My question is, if you only work each body part once/week (as is the case with these series), is it as effective for overall strength and toning? I simply don't have time to do the cardio I like to do and each of the Pure Strength workouts (for example) twice/week.

Hi Flex! Doing the PS and Hardcore series just one time per week is effective for overall strength and toning. However, if you feel you want just a little extra, you can try doing it the way you are now. That would mean doing the Pure Strength Series one time per week each (three workouts) plus one total body workout per week. It would come out to be just one workout more than what you are currently doing. Take Care!
