Thanks to all the threads here I just bought a BTR;)

I saw a post where someone mentioned using the BTR for Leaner Legs. Do you just substitute the BTR for the squat segments? Could someone please explain a little more for me? I couldn't find a post that went into detail. Thanks!!!:7

Hi Lissa! You can use any lowerbody video on the BTR! For Leaner legs take the weight off your shoulders and get on the rocker for squats, plies ,calf raises and for lunges do one legged squats(place one foot in the middle of the platform while the other is slightly bent knee raised a bit or to the side (whichever is more comfortable)to prevent putting weight on the non working leg! If you do Leaner legs 2x a week one day on the rocker and one with barbell will be like 2 different workouts! When you are on the rocker you have more foot options knowing that you have total back support! You can put your feet higher, lower, wide, close, plie, calf raises etc as long as your knees are going past your ankles or slightly over the toes(again whichever is more comfortable for you) you will have proper form every time and that's where you will see the results! ;) Enjoy!

Thanks Francine!! I can't wait to try this. One more question? When Cathe does deadlifts do you get off the BTR and do those or do you substitute with an exercise on the BTR?
Thanks!
Lissa:D

Hi Lissa, Your welcome;-) I ,personally, get off the BTR for deadlifts! If someone has a substitute for that I would love to hear it!:p Have fun!

Thanks again Francine:7
I thought you would say that - but I don't mind because I really like deadlifts!
Lissa:)

I do the foot position for emphasis on hamstrings for this one. That's where you push through your heels, and keep your toes off the foot plate.

I tried PLB with the BTR yesterday, and added weight in 5 lb increments, which I don't think was enough for me. Next time I will go heavier with the additional weight. I'm not sure I liked it as well as Leaner Legs with the BTR. I actually LIKE those low-end moves, and missed them yesterday!

I like the stabliltiy ball work for the inner thighs, especially the froggie legs move.

Just Do It! :7
