Cathe, is it REALLY beneficial to do HIIT?

I have been reading alot about HIIT and I like to add it to my routine just so I will have variety. However, I am really enjoying your step videos. I am a beginner at step aerobics (not to weights or any other cardio)and just found out how much faster time goes by with your workouts. As you know HIIT sessions are much shorter, so I was wondering if you recommend this or if you think longer sessions are better? Thanks, Angela
