stay motivated? I mean besides fitness being your life??!! I have made exercise a part of my life for the past 20 years, but sometimes I find it hard to stay motivated. I have a hard time eating clean. I live in Southeast Louisiana and we are surrounded by good food! I know I will not see the results I really want until I clean up my diet. How do you do it? Thank you for all you do, you are awesome!!!
 
Hi Kerribilliot! Eating super clean is not easy, but eating cleaner is more doable :)

Just make small cutbacks each day for three weeks (I say three weeks because it takes three weeks to break an old habit). Just try cutting back on 250 calories a day and burning an additional 250 calories off a day. That's 500 calories less per day and 3500 per week. One pound of fat equals 3500 calories so if you make the changes I mentioned you will lose one pound a week. May not sound like a lot, but it adds up. And since it really isn't a very drastic cut back you'll be more likely stick with it.
