Cathe, how do I modify while maintaining my fitness level?

Hi Cathe,

I've used your workouts for the past 2 years to lose 72lbs, and become the fittest I've ever been. I love your workouts, and refer to my morning exercise as my "attitude adjustment hour."

I am now 7 weeks pregnant, and I find that it doesn't take as much effort to feel winded and get my heart rate up. To accommodate this, I am considering doing a less intense rotation, such as the Body Blast Rotation you posted when the series first came out. My concern about this rotation is that there is no interval workout, which have been a weekly staple of my rotations.

While I won't miss the aggressive nature of these workouts if I leave them out, I'm concerned that I will lose a vital part of my conditioning by doing so. So, my question to you is: should I put an interval workout into the Body Blast Rotation; insert some modified version; or leave it out altogether? My doctor has already assured me that I can continue any workouts that I've been doing previously, as long as I feel comfortable. I feel, at this point, that I would just like to tone down the aggressive nature of my workouts, but am reluctant to lose any of the fitness gains I've worked so hard to achieve.

Thank you for your advice,
Sandra

I always understood that Interval training was not suitable for pregnant women and Reebok caution against this (see Gin Miller's cautionary words on the "Intense Moves" video).
