Cathe for Canadian's (& international's)

I feel a little isolated here in Canada...until recently I NEVER KNEW WHO CATHE WAS! I had never seen her on TV and her video's are nowhere to be seen  (BTW, I don't live in a remote little town in an igloo way up north).

I only heard of her by searching on Collage Video and then went to her website. I was excited to see that she offers all of her workouts on downloads! I don't have to wait for shipping (which takes approx. 2 weeks)

So I am curious how the rest of "Canadian Cathlete's" found her (and International's too)? Why is she not more internationally known like some other trainers ? (my stores here are filled with Jillian, Bob, Jari ect.)

Regardless, I am very happy to have found her! The Internet is a magical place...

Mini-Natty, Cathe doesn't allow her workouts to be sold at retail outlets like Walmart or Target so here in the US, we don't see her stuff either. I found Cathe on Collage. Discovery Health is now owned by Oprah Winfrey and she changed the format of the channel. With the OWN network is in trouble, Discovery Health is too.

I found her on Video Fitness.com in 2006 I think - are you familiar with that site?

I remember getting the Collage Video catalogue years ago (back when it was only VHS) and really regret not having stumbled upon her then!

I did recently see some of her Altus products in a Winners here.

I found her on the internet, too, way back in 1997, when a Canadian company called CK Sales distributed her videos. Been a fan ever since. Was thrilled when she finally began offering downloads - waiting the 2 or 3 weeks for new workouts was always a test of patience worthy of a spiritual leader.

Hi there!

I found her on collage video too - I think I googled "fitness DVDs" and got collage, which led me to Cathe and her website. I remember watching some of the previews of her workouts and being so impressed! I loved her attitude, her moves and her music! I have been hooked ever since! I too tried to find her DVDs in stores here but of course was unsuccessful. I have ordered a lot of her DVDs, and I agree, the wait for them can be hard! I haven't tried the downloads yet...maybe I should! There is something nice about holding the actual DVD in your hand though!

Where are you other Canadians from? I live just north of Toronto, Ontario. It's interesting to find other Catheletes from around here....it seems as if no one knows about Cathe in these parts! Nice to meet you all!

Where north from Toronto? I just moved to Bradford which is about 40min north from there. I was born and raised in TO, but I love it here!!

We should round up all the Cathe fans from Toronto/surrounding area's and have a little get together...:D

Hi Mini-natty,

I live in Uxbridge....not that far from Bradford. That would be fun to round everybody up! Something to plan in the new year perhaps?!

Years ago, I actually bought my Cathe from the Eaton's store. So she was sold in the stores at that time but that might have been before internet days:eek: Then I discovered CK Sales a few years later.

Hello and welcome! I live in Kingston, Ontario. I found Cathe a dozen or so years ago by searching something like 'advanced home workouts' and ended up at VF then to CKSales. It was such an awesome revelation to pop in those first workouts and to find like minded people here. I had been working out with Charlene Prickett who will always have a place in my heart but Cathe's intensity and creativity took my home fitness to a new level. Enjoy amassing your Cathe collection, those first few years were pretty hard on the credit card but worth every penny. I still can't bring myself to get rid of the Cathe workouts I have on VHS.

Take Care

I bought my first Cathe workouts from Eaton's too! I bought oldies like 'The Home Step' and 'Fit or Firm' (I hope I have those names right) amongst others.

I later started buying from CK Sales (who were located in my neighborhood - they would occasionally drop videos off at my home for me. Talk about service!).

Those were the days when you could luck upon a Cathe in the store across the street!

ps. I'm in Edmonton. I used to live across the street from West Edmonton Mall (hence I lived across the street from Eaton's).

I'm dowwwn east in Lake Echo , Nova Scotia about a half hour east of Halifax. I think I found Cathe at CK sales too. Any other Bluenosers or other Atlantic folks out there?

mtngoat, I'm in Edmonton, too, and I also had the experience of having CK Sales hand-deliver my Cathe videos! Their customer service was top notch! I live on the south side and work downtown. Given the number of people who referenced Eaton's, I think our collective age is showing! It's fantastic to meet another Edmonton fan!

Cheers,

I'm in Edmonton too. I discovered Cathe through comments on collage video: somewhere in the reviews of other videos people were comparing them to Cathe. I went to her website and now I'm hooked.

I also live in Edmonton ( southside ) born and raised. I have been a Cathe fan for several years. Finding Cathe on Collage Video was the best thing that has ever happened to me. I too am excited to know that there are other fans in the Edmonton area. Yes, I remember Eatons!!
