Cathe, do you recommend leaning and then building or building and then leaning?

I'm confused and no doubt the answer is more along the lines of "what works best for you" but I thought I'd ask anyway. I noticed you did a 12 wk rotation for someone once that followed the build the muscle and then lean it out concept, but then all your monthly rotataion for fat loss are all leaning (no pun intended) towards the lean it out through cardio and endurance weights route.

I've got exactly 12 weeks to blast this fat off before I see my sister who I haven't seen in over 3 years and have always had a friendly competition with on all matters having to do with fitness and our bodies. Besides that, she is somewhat disdainful of my use of videos and is a gymrat herself. I want to 1) look my best and 2) look my best through the use of Cathe videos to prove to her they are just as effective.

I feel like I have little room for error here so what's my best route? I'd like to keep it to 1 hr of exercise/day as I work fulltime but want to reach my goal enough that if need be I will double up my efforts

Not Cathe but I copied a response she gave to someone else last week. Hope it helps until you get a reply.

If you find the first three weeks too easy (after trying the first week), then skip to week 4,5,& 6.

By the way, I believe that you should weight train and do cardio at the same time (not cardio only first). Start with light weight and build up slowly.

Good Luck and keep me posted

thanks for replying! I'm sorry, but I must have given an impression I was a newcomer but I'm not. ACtually I've been doing Cathe since the 90s. Sadly, this doesnt necessarily mean I look like her! :)
