Hi Cathe

Back in feb of 2001 i dislocated my elbow and had a full arm cast on for 4 weeks..Since i have been working out with you since Sept 2001 i have found i have decreased strength in my rt arm.. the one that the cast was on.. i use the same weight in both arms when doing hammer curls or any bicep work .. should i be working the rt more or with less weight or am i doing ok.. will it "catch up " with the good arm .. thanks.. Candy

Hi Candy! I'm not sure if I am understanding your question correctly. If you are able to use the same weight for your arm work(as you say) than that is perfectly fine.

If you had to use LESS weight in you weaker arm, than I would say that you should maintain the current weight in the stronger arm (not go any heavier with it) until the weaker arm catches up to the maintenance weight of the stronger arm. Then at that point you would continue to work them both with equal weight and gradually go up in weight equally with both arms. Good Luck!
