Cathe Beginner/Intermediate Daily Check-In 11/13/05

Good morning everyone,

Today is a rest day for me. This week I will add in the "High Step Circuit" to my rotation and next week I will add in "Low Impact Step" and "Body Sculpting" to my rotation. Everyone have a good day!

Sunday's always yoga, walking the dog (and it's TOO windy for that!) or OFF!! I think a yoga day's in order!!!

Hi everybody! Are we going to do a daily check-in or weekly check-in? I vote for daily -- it keeps me honest! On Saturady, I made it all the way through Low Max for the first time, so that felt good. I'm still just doing it on the 4 inch step though. Today was Muscle Endurance -- all my muscles are still shaking! Will probably do Kick Punch & Crunch tomorrow. Hope everybody is having a good weekend!
 
Ladies,
Please help!! I really want to do the daily check in but just can't get into the mental state of mind to start a workout. I was sick for almost two weeks, and now DH & DD have had it for a week and I keep using the excuse that I have to take care of them. My eating has been horrendous;( x( The 20 pounds I need to loose have turned into 25. Please please send me some mental energy!!!!

Hi Claudia,

I had a hard time starting exercise also. I just couldn't get my mind focused mentally. So what helped me was to do just 20 minutes of a particular workout. I would write out every exercise that I was planning to do for a week and do just 20 minutes of that workout. It doesn't matter what type of workout it is when I reached 20 minutes I was done for the day. I did that for about 3 weeks until I was actually ready to do my regular workouts to the fullest.

I hope this helps a little.

I am continuing the thread add checking in. I tackled SJP(step/weigh circuit) today and KPC yesterday. I really like the kickboxing. I can feel the work in my shoulders, back, butt, and abs. I have a hard time getting started in the mornings too. But, I hope that the more I do it the better I will feel.

I am rather hungry first thing because eating gets cutoff at around seven o'clock. So almost twelve hours without food can have an affect. As I said yesterday, I lost four pounds for the first week of the check-in. I plan to be with you guys until all forty pounds are gone. Have a great day. Tomorrow I rest, Hallelujah!!
