Cathe and "the educated crowd"

Cathe I hope all is well with you and baby Eric--My 9 year old son's name is Erik and such a joy! Just wait until Eric starts playing sports and you start going to the games (or maybe coaching them!) what a blast. At any rate, I have some questions for you. I have your PS series, interval max, body max and mis/mic tapes--I find that I use the mic tape for it's hi-lo section a lot when my knees are bothering me. Are there any other tapes in your collection that have hi-lo in them? Also, does step height effect stress on the knees? I feel like I'm cheating if I don't use both risers--ha-ha. I have a lot of heavy tapes since I like intensity, however can you suggest one of your tapes that you consider a light cardio day. Thanks alot!!!!! Ranae

Hi Ranae!

Nice to hear from you. As of right now, I don't have any other tapes that have hi/lo in them. And yes, step height will put unnecessary stress on the knees if the angle of the inside of your knee goes beyond 90% when stepping. So pay attention to that next time you step. Generally speaking, the taller you are the less chance of your knee going beyond a 90% angle while stepping(obviously this does not always apply to everyone). The tape that I would recommend for a light cardio day would be Step Jam and/or Step Heat. Have fun and good for you for listening to your body by making wise choices for your knees.

Thanks!

Wow-that was a fast response! I will look at the tape suggestions and as far as step height--I will just listen to my legs that day. I've been crosstraining with running, hi/lo and the eliptical trainer and I have had a lot less problems with my knees. I do notice if I rely too much on step for my cardio I start having pain. Thanks again!! Ranae
