Hi Cathe,
I recently discovered your workouts and have been loving them. I have the Intensity Series and for the past three weeks have been following this rotation that you came up with when the series first came out:
ADVANCED Total Overall Body Blast Workout:

Mon: Boot Camp
Tues: off
Wed: Muscle Endurance
Thurs: Imax2
Fri: Cardio and Weights
Sat: Pyramid Lower Body with the first 5 intervals of Imax 2
Sun: Pyramid Upper Body

However, I just read a response that you wrote: “For maximum weight training benefits, you should rest or do cardio between all weight workouts (regardless of type). Take Care!”

So what do you think about doing Boot Camp on Monday after doing PUB on Sunday?

Thanks for everything! Jessica

Hello Jessica,

Just jumping in here for Cathe.

Boot Camp is not considered a cardio workout - actually, it is cross training using light weights. What Cathe means is that you should consider leaving a day in between a medium to heavy weight workout and do cardio in between them.

If you are using split routines where each body part is worked one at time like PLB & PUB then you can weight train consecutive days e.g.

Mon PUB
Tues PLB
Weds Boot Camp
Thurs Muscle Endurance
Fri IMAX1 or IMAX2
Sat PLB & PUB (the bonus combo or Mix and Match where you are doing up pyramid or down pyramid)
Sun Rest

This is quite an advance routine so you might not want to try it, but it gives you an idea of how it works.
