CATHE 6’FOOT YOGA MAT ---- FEW QUESTIONS PLEASE HELP!

Hi everyone,

Can anyone, please tell me how much weight the mat. The 6 foot one.
I have been eyeing this mat for a long time and I am happy the pay the cost but have few questions?

Is it cumbersome to carry as a luggage during a long-haul flight West coast US to London?

I am trying to get my sister to bring it with her. What do you suggest? Please help!

I suggest contacting Customer Service - they can tell you the weight. I used to "fly & camp" across the country with all sorts of gear stuffed into duffle bags and checked as luggage. People check skis and golf bags as luggage too. So maybe check with the airline your sister intends to use. A 6 foot mat will have to be checked - not carried-on. But use the box it comes in. Oh, and maybe your sister could carry a yogamat-carry strap to more easily lug it to the airport check-in.

I'm not sure of the weight either, but not sure I would want to haul this on a flight unless, as Debinmi suggested, to check it.

I agree. If I were to take it I would check it immediately upon entry to the airport.

There may be oversize fees associated with it too. Again, I'd check with the airline after getting both the weight and dimensions. Then compare the cost to having SNM ship it directly.

I will found out how much it would cost from the airline.

Shipping all the way to London by SNM is not possible.

The 6 foot mat is pretty light- weighing in at about 8 pounds. If it's removed from the box it can be folded up gently to fit into an empty suitcase. This option may be better price and convenience wise if it's going through an airport. That being said, being folded in this manner will likely cause fold lines. If you end up choosing this option you will need to roll the mat back up upon arrival to allow it time to try and release those lines. I would compare the price of an additional suitcase and the price of checking the item in its original box and see what your best option is. Hope this helps.
