Cat advice anyone?

these are good ideas. i will ask my local vet about it. the reason(s) i can't take the cat are that i am HIGHLY allergic, it hates me, it's declawed and i have TWO cat-hating dogs. On top of those reasons, i am not a cat person...but i am an animal lover and i do feel sorry for this poor cat. when my inlaws return from trips he pouts for days and bites their fingers while they sleep. this tells me he is not happy with his current living situation. They didn't always travel like this. it has only been in the past 2 years and before the cat got alot of attention.

thanks for the advice

Cats pout & bite . They are NOT anything like dogs!

Jes, I would not kid you. I love my dog probably more than my kid. Even Mallory would tell you that. But she has a voice & they don't. Don't put them somewhere they would never be able to speak up from. Please Email me me before you do anything!!!!

Kathryn, I knew you would have my back on this. Truthfully, I love all my cats & you could not imagime how much I rely on them. I am above all, a cat person. Yes all my cats have a distinctive personality. But my point is, if the nitty gritty came to just nitty, who would be survive? I think the cats would fare better than the dogs. My dear daddy introduced me to cats long ago and you could not imagine how much a part of my world they are.

Jes is allergic to cats, otherwise she would do a mighty fine job. I know she has no mean bone in her body either.

Have you guys ever heard of Best Friends animal sanctuary?

http://www.bestfriends.org/aboutus/

What do you think Marla?

I love this Organization. People (visitors) come from all over the country to spend time at this place, helping out and giving love to the animals.

This seems like a great place. They NEVER kill animals, they give them a permanent home if the animal is what some people would call "un-adoptable" (to me no animal is ever un-adoptable!) But they let them live in large communities. (no glass enclosures Marla :) )

Jes, please look into this place as a possibility if it comes down this, but first I'd think about the companion cat for the kitty.

My deepest condolences. But with its medical problems, I feel you must have done the best you could have done. Not only that, you are very courageous! I can tell you still miss him.
