Hi Cathe!

I was wondering how much cardio does one need to do a week to maintain their current weight? I'm a very clean eater and I do not need to loose weight, but I do want to gain more muscle.

Thanks!

Hi Cinnamon! If you do not need to lose weight then just do enough continuous sustained cardio to keep your heart healthy (20 minutes three times per week). To gain muscle, lift weights for each body part one to two times per week. If possible, lift heavier weight to promote muscle growth. Lifting weights also burns off body fat so if you are already the weight you want to be, you will need to increase your caloric intake with good high quality foods (with a slight protein increase to repair muscles from your lifting) so that you don't lose weight.

Take Care!
