who has the cardio kicks workout how do you like it? i need a cardio that is not all step for a alternate. can anyone tell me about it

Hey Jek!!! I think you'll get more feedback in the video and DVD questions and comments forum. Cathe is far too humble to rave about her workouts, that's OUR job. 'See' you over there!:)

Cardio Kicks is one of my favorite tapes and i have most of her tapes.
the first half is tough cardio with alot of hops, runs, jacks, and punching. the second half blows u away with intensity power drills

have fun!

I love cardio kicks -- it's a good cardio workout that has very basic (but athletically challenging) kickboxing choreography, and some really great high energy drills at the end.

I dont' care for it too much, but that is entirely preferential. I just don't get into that kind of cardio too much. I feel like I have to move around alot more. BUT!!! I am a huge Cathe fan & I love all her videos, just more her step & Imax than her cardio kicks.

I love this workout too. This is tought but fun. I love the last segment the power drills they makes me feel strong. I love more KPC almost for the music.

I bought "Cardio Kicks/Circuit Max" on DVD exclusively for Cardio Kicks and I love it! It's so much fun! I knew that it was definitely more of a cardio workout than of a kickboxing workout and that's what I was after. (I wanted to add variety to my existing cardio from jogging, step aerobics and "Ropesport" rope jumping). There are kick box inspired moves like roundhouse kicks, jabs, hooks and upper cuts. Cathe tells you at the beginning that this workout isn't intended to improve fighting skills. You'll do jumping jacks, "jump ropes", power hops, knee smashes, grapevines, bob and weaves, scoops, speedbags, icebreakers, and of course lots of cardio kicks! I put some power in my snap and recoils on jabs and kicks and I get one heck of workout everytime. I wore my heart rate monitor one time to see how my heart rate fared and it remained around 80-85% of my maximum heart rate for the most part.
"Cardio Kicks" does use a lot of space but you can modify, like Cathe said. Luckily I have the space, but I've done it modified ( go for height instead of laterality and do big scoops or power hops in place to increase the intensity).
I also love that "Cardio Kicks" is 60 minutes long and I am drenched in sweat by the end.

I love Cardio Kicks - in fact I had it on VHS and dropped it, breaking the front cover and rendering it useless *sighs*. I also have Circuit Max on VHS and it's doing fine. I like them both so much that I am planning on buying the DVD.

With Cardio Kicks - there's a few things to remember. It IS much more of a Cardio workout and less a kickboxing workout. It is also high impact. If you want to get away from the step because of impact - this is not the tape for you. The other thing is the drills - when you first do them, you might be thinking (like I was) that there wasn't much to them, but if you do them with all your might, you'll feel it majorly the next day. I like Kick Max, too - but I think I actually prefer Cardio Kicks. I want the CK DVD so I can combine my favorite parts of both so that I can really get my butt kicked (and I mean that sincerely).
