Cardio Coach vs iTrain

After reading all the great info on the Cardio Coach and iTrain downloads, I would like to try one. I would like to incorporate outdoor running into my current routine, but have never been a runner before (I'm in pretty good shape, but have never built up ability to run long distances). I live near a lake and my route will be pretty flat with other people around (translated into: I don't want to do walking lunges in front of a bunch of people like the Cardio Coach website suggests as a sub for the inclines).
Has anyone used CC or iTrain for this kind of workout, and if so, what's your favorite download?
Thanks in advance for the info!!

I just recently purchased iTread 11/40 and received iTreads 2/40 & 3/40 with 2 free download codes.

I'm sure somebody here still has those codes around - sorry I don't remember them.

I really enjoy using those guided workouts for when I use my TM now; the time goes by so fast.

I have not tried CC yet but I hear nothing but love for coach Sean. I would love to try before I buy with CC as I did for iTrain but alas no free downloads from CC and 14.99 or something like that (I'm a frugal buyer with 3 growing kids)is a bit much when I have no idea if I'll like it as much as some others do here.

Coach Sean (Cardio Coach) is wonderful! I like iTrain but I LOVE Cardio Coach. Check their website out, they have a buy two, get one free deal... it was still there a couple of days ago when I was on the site. A popular favorite is #3 which is one of my favorites also, about 40 minutes. #4 is really good. They are all good IMO. I just recently purchased Press Play which was done as a charity for the Choose Living Foundation but haven't done it yet, but from what I hear, I won't be disappointed. I like iTrain but there is no comparison IMHO to Coach Sean and his ability to say exactly the right thing at the right time in the workout.

Cardio Coach workouts are true interval workouts - with a challenge and a rest - like on Choose Living the first interval set is alternating between 1 minute hills and 1 minute sprints with 30 seconds of rest in between - you do that a total of 10 times (5 hills, 5 sprints) and you get a 3 minute rest. All of the CC's are designed to be used on any equipment.

iTrains are more steady state for the most part (the iTreads are the exception) - more like a spin class if you've ever taken one. And they are individually tailored towards the machine you will be using.

Both have their merits, and I use both at different times for different reasons. I do, however, find Coach Sean very inspirational and I feel emotional recharged as well as physically after doind Cardio Coach - and Choose Living is about as inspirational as they come.
