Cardio Coach Buy 2 Get One Free Sale

Cathlete
I've never done cardio coach though I've been thinking about it for quite some time. I have an elliptical machine at home.

Currently, cardio coach is running a buy 2 get one free sale. Is this a good deal? or do they run better sales - should I wait for a better deal?

And which 3 would you get?

Thanks for your input.

Cardio Coach workouts are perfect for your elliptical -- that's what I do them on :) . This sale has been going on for awhile so I'd take advantage of it before it ends. I've ever seen a better sale, but then, I didn't buy mine on sale (darn it!), so I wouldn't know.

It's tough to narrow it down to 3 because they're all so good.

Volume 2 is nice. It's a little shorter -- about 40 minutes -- and it's mostly hill climbs which are really fun on the elliptical!

Volume 4 is another great one. This one clocks in at roughly 50 minutes, not including the stretch at the end. It mixes intervals of hills and sprints and it's a personal favorite.

Volumes 5, both 6's, and 7 are right around an hour long and they're all great. I suggest you listen to clips on his website. Volume 7 is geared more toward runners but it still works well on the elliptical IMHO.

Good luck making a decision and let us know which ones you choose :)

Hi, Michelle,

I don't have elliptical machine. I have treadmill. I just came back from long period of inactive due to my foot surgery. I have done itread 1 & 2, but in between fast walker and slower jogger pace. Could you suggest which vol is more suitable for me?

Thanks

Hi WantFit!

Congratulations on re-entering the workout force! I love Cardio Coach workouts but I've never done them on anything but an elliptical, so I'm not sure which one would be best for walking outdoors. My best recommendation would be to email Coach Sean and ask what he would suggest for your special circumstances. He's really great about answering emails and I'm sure he'd be happy to help you choose something. Let us know which one you get!

Thanks, Michelle.

Do you use elliptical at home? What model is it? My knees are not doing very well with a lot of running. I am thinking about getting elliptical. I just wonder whether it will burn as much as running in treadmill.

Thanks

I bought an elliptical about a year and a half ago and it was the single best investment I ever made. I absolutely love it and I use it at least 3 times a week -- it's my primary form of cardio. I bought a Precor, model 5.23. It was expensive but worth every penny.

I don't know how it compares to a treadmill because I never use one, but the elliptical gives me a GREAT workout. Mine came with an HRM and, according to it, I get an excellent workout with Cardio Coach. Trust me, you work hard when you crank up the speed and/or resistance ;)

OK I couldn't take it anymore and I bought Cardio Coach MP3s today and I just did #5 (or some of it). Man it kicked my butt!!!

I am so thrilled!! It really pushed me hareder than I usually go. What a workout!

Thanks for your feedback Michele!!

Ooh, V5 is a goody!! I'm so glad you enjoyed your new CC workout. It's the only cardio that actually makes me beg for more and for mercy at the same time :p :7

Michelle,

I saw Costco has Ironman ellipitical machine on sale $1299. Is it comparable to yours?

Thanks

Hi WantFit!

I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with the Ironman elliptical so I can't tell you how it compares to mine. I found the following link very helpful when I was trying to narrow down my choices:

http://www.ellipticaltrainers.com/info/elliptical_ratings.html

I'm not sure if this site rates the elliptical you're considering purchasing, but it's still great for helping you wade through all the features and options that are available. Another thing I like about this site is that it rates machines in all price points. I strongly encourage you to try out several different machines before you buy, either at a gym or a fitness store. They're all so different and what works for me might not feel so great for you.

Good luck in your search and please let us know what you get :)

Wanted to thank you for giving the heads up on the buy two get one free! Sean is the nicest person ever! I told him that you ladies at Cathe.com referred me. He told me to wish all of you a Happy New Year!
I still can't believe he does all of his own customer service.
Well, thanks for the heads up on the sale.

Jennifer
