Cardio Coach 6 - Candace

Do any of you have this? OMG!!!! Last week I asked about the status of volume 6 because I'd not heard anything in a while and couldn't get the website to work right. Sure enough there are 2 volume 6's - one with Sean and one with Candace (tho I do wonder why that's not a V-6 and a V-7 ????) But Candace's w/o kicks my butt!!! Brutal - and I love it!!! Just wondering if any of you have them and what you think.

Hi Lorrie!

I have it too and I also love it...it leaves me a sweaty mess! I tend to enjoy the cardio coaches that lean heavy on the sprints. I haven't picked up Coach Seans version of volume 6 yet but I know I will soon!

Enjoy!

While I liked 6 cuz it was challenging, I don't care for Candace as much as I like Sean. I guess the new 6 with Sean is basically the same workout, but it's changed up ever so slightly and is supposed to be slightly shorter. I just ordered it but haven't done it yet.

I didn't like Candace at all when I listened to them both - you're right - I've grown accustomed to Sean and I really like him. Then I did Candace's workout and I was SCREAMING! I think it's a whole different workout - 4 challenges instead of 3, and I think the composition of them is different - though I have to go back and really check. (But if they are different that's why I am wondering why two volume 6's instead of a 6 and 7. Maybe there is something in the newsletter.) I was so skeptical at first, but I love her workout.

I am planning on getting one of the CC. I am an advanced exerciser, so which one of these do you think would be the best to start with? When I use a machine my choice is elliptical. TIA

Hey, Lorrie! I'm jumping in to hijack this thread for just a moment. Thank you SO MUCH for the recommendation for Blue Hill. DH and I ate there last night for our anniversary and it was fabulous! You obviously have great taste.

Haven't tried Cardio Coach, so I have no comments. Sorry for the interruption.

I have both the elliptical and the treadmill and I use my CC's on both. Since you are advanced I would recommend volume 5 or either of the new 6's - though you see above that I love the Candance one. I think really the only difference is that these are a little longer - eg I love volume 3 when I need a quick w/o with great intensity. I would go to the website and listen to some of the samples. I don't have the itrains however, and some people on these boards really prefer those over the CC's. HTH.

Well since the interruption is here I'll further it by saying I'm SOOOOO glad you enjoyed it Nancy. Isn't it adorable? We found the food and the service to be terrific at a really reasonable price! Glad you had fun, and Happy Anniversary again.:) :)

No problem for the "interruption". But one more question: On the CC site they recommend starting with Vol 1. Do you think this is really necessary as far as the instructions they give?

No I don't think you need to start with volume 1, and actually I don't have either volumes 1 or 2. I started with 3 and since they were offering a package deal I got 3, 4, and 5 at the same time. I had to search for info on the 6's and just got them last week. Now there's talk of a 7 as well. But I had heard that 1 and 2 were not that great.

I wouldn't bother with anything before volume 3 (1 and 2 are good workouts, but they are shorter).

4 or 5 would be a good starting place.

5 is longer, but some consider 4 tougher because it has shorter recovery breaks.
