Cardio and weights

First let me say, I just recently got this video and love it! Great workout! I am looking for more workouts like this one that incorporates both cardio and strength training. I work full time and I am a mother of 2 small children so you can imagine how tight I am on time. I like workouts like this so if I only get to work out a couple times a week I can work everything in that hour and not have to stress about what I was able to work or not work that week. Any suggestions let me know, thanks!

I too like this workout. I seriously don't know how people on this board can call this an "easy" workout though. I have been through Navy boot camp and have been exercising for quite some time and I find this workout very tough, and that is with a 4 inch board with no risers!

But the absolute hardest thing in this workout is the dreaded ab workout and the sequence with the pyramid pushups. When it comes to those pushups, I just skip that part and do instead 2 sets of the bench press and flies section.

And I won't even get into those walking soldier planks! How can anyone do those and not feel like their arms are going to collapse? I am also over 200 lbs though so that is probably why I cannot do that section. If I weighed as little as Cathe and her crew, I would think that section would be easy....less weight to hold up!

Well let see there is Circuit Max which is simlar to C&W maybe tougher}(. Bootcamp which uses floor cardio tough abs and a high step. I think it has 8 Cycles in this one. It starts off with a 1 minute intense cardio follow by lower & upper body weights then some tough core work, repeat. Also If you have a dvd player their is The Terminator. Have fun:)

I second the emotions about:

Circuit Max (much more intense than Cardio + Weights)

Boot Camp (one minute cycles of intense cardio, lower body training, upper body training, and core training)

Also: Cross-Train Express Power Circuit (available on video; leg circuits only); and Body Max (also available on video; it has a step circuit segment that is leg circuit only)

And of course The Terminator on DVD!

Also consider Step Pump Jump from Cathe's Body Blast series; this is a longer workout that incorporates step cardio AND a hi/lo cardio + compound-move circuit training.

If you don't have a DVD player, consider investing in one and getting Cathe's workouts on DVD's. Her newer releases (the Intensity Series, the Body Blast Series) include premixes many of which create circuit-style workouts with existing workout footage. And her newest releases (still in production) are on DVD only.

Also The Terminator DVD. It has 3 great workouts on them that were made with the Intensity Series workouts. The Gauntlet and The Viper are great to get the cardio and weights in. Imax extreme is also great, but only four weight sections that are compound. A great cardio workout though.

These workouts are over an hour though.
The Guantlet is 70 minutes
The Viper is 80 Minutes
Imax Extreme is 75 minutes

Step, Jump & Pump is my favorite. I do it once a week and on other days I sometimes do parts of it as an add on because I love it.

I did this one for the first time last night. I loved it! Cathe and Crew really seem to be having a good time and this was so much fun, don't you think they each look so beautiful in the black outfits with the fushia, these colors were so complimentary, very classy ladies! I enjoyed everything about this workout.

I love doing C&W and CTX Power Circuits for a full body workout complete with cardio.

Similar workouts as already mentioned are Circuit Max, Bootcamp and the workouts in the Terminator DVD. There's also the Push/Pull and Supersets DVD, but these workouts are mainly weights, no cardio. They do work the whole body though. You'll also need a stability ball for these workouts. Another "work everything in an hour" workout is Power Hour and MIS. Again, these are weight only, but they work well. You'll have to do cardio on off days though. My other suggestion is the CTX series if you're short on time. You work out every day though and get to do one body part a day with cardio. The workouts are shorter, however. I don't know if this is something you can work into your schedule, but a lot of gals here have gotten great results with this series. Another DVD is Timesaver from the Body Blast series. I don't have these but know some ladies here who do, and they all love it. Hope this hasn't made it more confusing for you.
