I have been kicking around the idea of a new vehicle for the last month or so. I've got it narrowed down to a 2006 Subaru Forester or a Honda CR-V. I stopped by the Subaru dealership last night on the way home from dd's Tae Kwon Do class, just to take a quick look. Well, that quick look became a test drive and I'm in love with it. Teri (dd) really liked it too and wants me to get it.

Tomorrow dh, dd and I are going to check out the Honda CR-V. Mostly because I'm a Honda owner now and have been extremely happy with the car. I need to make sure...

Does anyone have a CR-V or Forester? How do you like it?

I have a '99 CRV and it is a great vehicle. I have nearly 140K miles on it but it keeps going and going and going with very little maintenance! The only major things I've had to do are tires, brakes, and I had to replace the timing belts. It is good in all weather (I have the 4WD model) and has a nice-sized interior. I get about 25 mpg highway.

My sister-in-law had a Forester for years and she really liked it, too.

I think that is a tough choice!

PS: I'm not buying anything new until next year, but then I will probably get an Audi or a Volvo, because I want to get a car, and something more in a luxury line. Accords are nice but not what I had in mind.... love Hondas otherwise.
