Can't stop spending money this week!!!

Ok, seriously, staying home on a rainy saturday is REALLY expensive. Actually, just in the past week, my online purchases have been high even for me! I think I need an intervention, and to get out of the house more. :p

So what impulse buys have you all made recently?

Here's this weeks rundown:
Just today:
Cathe's PUB/PLB dvd (it really is about time!!)
The New Rules of Lifting for women book
The Lebert Equalizer bars (workout equipment that I posted about in another thread)
The advanced Lebert workout DVD

This past week:
3 separate orders on beauty.com, because of their 20% sale. (I do love the Lorac makeup kit I bought) :D

A lipgloss from Bobbi Brown

Holly's au natural cranberry almond oatmeal (because i saw it mentioned in a hungry girl email!), ok seriously, I bought $30 worth of oatmeal, what is wrong with me?? I hope I like it :confused:

And I love the justifications I make each time I'm ready to hit the Submit Order button. Let's see, excuse 1: my husband just bought another expensive guitar, this purchase doesn't even come close. Excuse 2, I'm not going out to dinner tonight. Excuse 3, if I had gone out today I would have just spent money on clothes or shoes anyway. Excuse 4, I bought the equalizer bars with paypal so it's not even on my credit card. :rolleyes:

:D !!!!!!!!! I hear ya. My husband has...*counts*...nine guitars. I think. He might have more that I'm not thinking of right now. :rolleyes: Plus he builds them, so we have guitar parts too.

This makes justifying Cathe DVDs much easier. At least I use all of mine regularly. He should make a guitar rotation!
 
So funny, yup we are at at least 8 maybe 9 guitars, and he has sold some! He just bought one like 2 weeks ago, and now there is another he wants!
 
I'm in the same boat. I had to laugh at your oatmeal purchase. Just the other day I ordered 12 containers of blue diamond vanilla bean almonds because the price was so good. I mean, $50 worth of almonds, WTH? I also ordered two euro pillows from overstock and a new comforter set from kohls. I can't wait for everything to arrive. Oh and I just got back from Super Target with new shampoo, eye shadow, and mascara :rolleyes:.

Now I just need to figure out what to purchase from the Sephora 20% off sale that ends tomorrow online.

OMG! other guitar widows! Nice to meet you! I think DH has at least 12 guitars, 4 amps, all kinds of pedals and gagets, bells and whistles, a keyboard, and a tamborine! wants a HUGE Marshall Stack (something like that) and a PA system! and I thought my addictions for fitness equipment was bad!

Glad to hear that i am not alone Dela & LaughingWater!

BTW, I have been relatively tame this month on my spending, online and not, but August and September when gearing up for working out was outta control!! LOL! but hey.. the results will be worth it right?!
 
This has been a bad month for me, spending-wise. I've wanted a gas range for so long and finally took steps to getting one. We have a propane furnace and there appeared to be a gas pipe in the cabinet next to the current electric range, so it didn't seem all that involved.

Seems we had a gas leak. It's taken $1700 worth of tests, refittings, re-tests, you-name-it, to get that cleared up. oh, and the gas pipe in the cabinet isn't connected to anything. I hire a plumber to re-connect it. So today they deliver the range. I paid for "delivery and set-up". The gas line is there, the electricity is there, the venting is there. But no, the delivery guys say I have to pay to have it "installed" because they don't deal with hard-wiring or gas lines. I guess "set-up" is only good if you just plug an appliance in.

So now I wait until next week for the installer to come - another $160 (possibly more).

This is going to be the most expensive gas range ever!
 
That's hilarious! (The guitar thing, not the gas range thing...yikes!) The first two words that popped into my head after reading Dela's initial post were "guitar widow."

We only have 2 amps, which means I can't let my husband see your post, Dani. :p We also have pedals, wires & cords I trip over, a Marshall cabinet, a bass, a keyboard, and some funky thing that slows down songs so they (DH and my daughter who also plays) can figure out solos.

Anyone have a drum kit yet? :rolleyes: They've been hinting at buying one, despite the fact that we have no space for it.

Why couldn't I be a football widow or something like that?! I LIKE football! I couldn't play a guitar if my life depended on it, and not sure DH would even let me touch one of his "girlfriends" if I asked!

I had to buy him one when we moved to Las Vegas even! LOL!

we may have to start a support group for all kinds of "widows" :)

Sorry MtnMom99 on the stove issue... I actually HATE our gas stove... I burn everything so consequently I NEVER cook! *insert evil laugh here* EXCELLENT!!!
 
I've spent a ton of money this week, but it's all for the holidays. I'm almost done with my holiday shopping! YAAAAAY!!!!:D Woo hoo!

Ummm, Sephora has their 20% off too??? I got an email about an in-store 20% off good for this morning only, but not online, checking other email account now!

Guitar widow!!!! Perfect!

I can't even talk about the amps, pedals, and endless miles of cords around the house.

Dela: step away from the computer! your credit card is going up in smoke girl!

I make DH keep his cords and all gagets in his own room upstairs, but he has little room in there for his cases, so they are in the loft surrounding his desk... I have a little 3rd bedroom that I am gradually getting squeezed out of for my own workout room, so I guess it works out in the end :)
