I would like to wear running tights all year long. You know the ones, tight fitting all the way down the leg. Not bootcut. Can these be worn in the gym during the summer? Or would it look out of place?
Not that I'm the epitome of fashion, but I wear running tights all year long at the gym and have for years. I've seen other women do the same thing, so at least I'm not alone if I am committing some sort of heinous fashion faux pas!
Sure, you can wear anything you want to the gym. Pay no mind to the people who are there for the fashion show. My only concern would be that you can stay cool.

I wear horseback riding tights to run in all year long. I was the only one of 1000 people at the Thanksgiving 5K wearing knee patches. Ha! I have lots of pairs of riding tights and I'm too cheap to buy running tights. I just don't care and honestly, I doubt anybody notices, I'm just not that noticeable.
On the treadmill (at home), though, I wear running shorts. But nobody but DH gets to see that.
I see women wearing running tights at the gym all the time and don't think they look out of place at all. Our gym gets kind of stuffy, though, and I wonder how they don't get overheated.
