can we have a discussion about the virtues of WW vs LL?

I need some serious help losing weight and would like the hear the pros and cons of both.....

Of course, I should keep in mind that NOTHING will work if I don't stick with it which is my problem for the past year...not sure what to do about that particular problem

If it were me shopping for a weight loss program, I'd go with WW because of it's proven success over many years. It's very sensible and you can live with it long term. It shows you how to keep the weight off once you've lost it. Lots of programs help you get thinner but don't tell you how to keep it off.
Just Do It! :)

I love WW - been on it off and on for many years, but their current programs are just so livable. I love the CORE program - it seems to fit in with Cathe somehow, clean eating, etc. I can't say that I am on program 24/7 - I definitely have my eating issues - but have been for the majority of the last 2 years.

LL worked for me over WW because WW is too easy to manipulate -- I could eat 22 points of non-nutritious crud all day. Also, I thinK WW promotes low point choices rather then healthy choices-- so you'd choose a 1 point fudge bar that is loaded with carbs instead of choosing a lean protein or vegetable. I like that LL taught me how to eat healthy and how to break down to right types of food (40/40/20).

Hey I think you should find whatever it is works for you and run with it because everyone is different. Just wanted to throw in my experience :) I lost the last 50ish pounds of 125 lb weight loss on LL-- oh and Coach teaches you how to workout and emotional triggers and alot of other things that WW never adressed and for that reason eventually failed with me each time I did it.

Hope that helps!

I have to agree that WW points is not the most ideal program for me. I didn't lose any weight on it because I was happy to skip a nutritious dinner for a 6 point Snickers bar. What? Flex points for the week? Two snickers bars it is!

I just started on Core yesterday. I was a little hesitant at first because I couldn't believe that I could eat until I was full. What? No portions? But it makes you choose the right foods and I think that's what will help long term. And with Cathe, it's much more important to eat clean so you have the strength to get through Power Hour.

Good luck!!
