Can VHS workouts be converted to DVD at home?

I have some older workouts on tape (which are out of production) that I'd love to put on a disc. If this is possible, what equipment is needed to do so?

Thanks for any and all info!

Beans - look in the Yellow Pages under "Video", and you'll see a ton of listings of companies that do VHS to DVD duplication.

Sweet, A-Jock! Thanks! I'm wondering how much this costs?

Thanks again! I'll let my fingers do the walking!

You can also get a DVD recorder. It looks like a regular DVD player but it is a DVD recorder. They have the ones that have the VHS built into it also so you can dub like that or the ones that you just hook up to your VHS. I have been wanting to get one since I have so many VHS tapes of my kids and want to convert them to DVD so they last longer and have a backup when the VHS tapes breaks. HOpe this helps.

You can get a dvd/vcr recorder combination for between $250-350 in stores and possibly cheaper if you do searches online. You want to make absolutely sure that you can dub from vcr to dvd and vice versa. The only problem you will have is if the tape that you are trying to copy is "copy protected" and if so, then this piece of equipment won't be able to copy those. You generally will not know if it is protected until you try and copy it. Most of the older tapes are not so you may not have a problem. Good luck!
