Can someone tell me the difference . . .

Chrissysu

Cathlete
. . .in all of the Cathe High Step DVDS? I think there are 3 (High Step Challenge, Beg. High Step Challenge and High Step from the Hardcore series). I'm trying to decide which to buy . . .help please . . .

Check out my response on the following thread for a pretty detailed break down of the differences between High Step Challenge and High Step Advanced Training...

High Step Circuit (the beg/int workout) is definitely less intense than both of the other high step workouts, although you can modify up by adding in propulsion, using heavier weights, etc. The cycles go cardio segment, resistance training w/ tubing, resistance training w/ weights. There is also a bonus stability ball abs segment on the DVD. This is the easier version of a high step workout in every sense: less intense choreography, less intense resistance training with the tubing, less intense resistance training with the dumbells (Cathe is using 3's). Like I said, you can modify it up, but it will still be less intense than either of the two above. I have all of them and use of them, with differing expectations (i.e. High Step Circuit is a great recovery week workout).

My favorite is still High Step Training Advanced!

Scroll down a bit, there is a thread called "High Step Challenge vs. High Step Advanced" or something similar... lots of folks weighed in with their opinions.

The High Step Circuit is VERY beginner and is often packaged with the high step if you look around some...

Hope that helps,
Marie

I copied my answer from your other thread.

UB- 3/4 exercises, ea cycle works a different upper body part
no core section

*Hi Step Challenge (68 min) 5 cycles

Cardio- some segments use the step & some don't
cardio is followed by 5 or 6 exercises starting with legs and then UB
core work section is included at the end of the 5 cycles

equip- Hi step, BB, DB, band

*Hardcore Extreme includes part of HSch on one of the workouts

Hope this helps (double check for accuracy),

Additional personal notes:

BC- has premixes, it feels more aerobic & faster paced to me

HSC- Beg/Int level, has stability ball workout

HSTA- Lots of Leg Presses, generic music

HSch- I really like the pace of this one, I can give my all to the cardio and the wt work, I like the music, it has 2 timesaver premixes
