Can I lift heavy the day after SJP???

I just finished 70 minutes of the Step, Jump and Pump workout. That is fun. It hits all the points doesn't it?

Anyway, I am wondering if I can lift heavy tomorrow? I know that each muscle group is hit during this workout and I DID lift the heaviest I could but it there was only one exercise for each muscle group.

So my question is: Is SJP ENOUGH of a strength workout to lay off the weights tomorrow? OR, since it moves along rather quickly, can I lift heavy tomorrow, such as doing S&H shoulders or triceps?

Thanks!:)

I think that I answered my own question. I went ahead and lifted "shoulders" the following night. Big mistake.

I think I pulled something on my right deltoid. I would think that if it was DOMS, it would be bilateral. The left arm seems fine.

I think I overdid it with trying to lift heavy the next day. It was only with the TimeSaver DVD workout #4 which really is only 3 different exercises.

I took a rest day today, not even a cardio. I didn't want to have another rest day already.x(

I was about to say that I would follow SJP with weights, I would either follow it with a cardio of your choice, maybe intervals or just a long horror like MIC, or something like BC where, once again, you aren't really hitting any single muscle very hard. I would probably follow with just cardio though. Sorry about your shoulder!

Thanks! My shoulder was better after a few days of rest, thank goodness. I was scared that I had really damaged something that would last longer. I learned my lesson on that one.
