Can Cathe whip me into shape by the end of March?

Hi everyone,

I will be going to Bora Bora on my honeymoon at the end of March. I know that I can't lose all the weight before my wedding in 25 days...but if I'm really good with Cathe, do you think I can take 20 pounds off by the end of March?

Can anyone give me suggestions on how often I should use her workouts? Do you use her 6 days a week - or would that be overtraining? What combination should I aim for with cardio and weights? I also have an elliptical, so I'm not sure if I sould go straight Cathe for best results or if I should alternate between the two.

I haven't purchased any DVD's yet, (just what I tape from FitTV) but my fiance promised to buy me some Cathe for Christmas. I was thinking of the Body Blast series, but if you have better suggestions to take off the weight/shape up - I'm all ears!

I appreciate all of your advice. I need to really buckle down so I can wear that "Just Married" bikini in March!!!

Hi Amy! welcome to the forums. I guess the best place to start is where you are presently with your fitness routine. Cathe will definetely help you lose some weight and get fit, as long as you eat right and stick with it. 6 days a week may be too much if you are just starting out. So get back to us and we'll help you figure something out! -Tina

Hi Amy--I think the 20 lbs is definitely do-able w/Cathe's workouts & the right diet. Also I think it's probably OK to do cardio 6 days a week, but I think you could gain the same effects w/5 days a week, give yourself a little rest period & feel stronger for your workouts. But diet is the key here--you can strength train & do cardio, but the most effective way to lose weight is by diet.

Of course you have to pick the diet that'll work for you, which means one you feel you can live with for the next 4 months. There are several very informative threads on this board, if you do a search for "diet" it might be helpful.

Hi Tina,

Right now I've been using the Firm - so I've been working out about 5 days a week - but not always using the Firm. I would put myself at an intermediate fitness level. Thanks for your thoughts!
