Can anyone recommend a hotel in Boston?

We are heading to Boston next week to take in a Red Sox game and more or less just walk around Quincy, etc., etc., etc.

Can someone recommend a nice hotel close to Fenway, et al?

If you're willing to take out a second mortgage to pay for it, the Copley Plaza is Da Bomb. (I think it's still up and running.)

LOL! I saw that one....VERY expensive!!!! It looked really nice though.

I'm looking for something no more than $250/nite. There are just a ton of choices that pop up on travelocity, and I have no clue.

I stayed at a Holiday Inn near the Beacon Hill area when I was at a conference a few years ago. The hotel was nice, and the location was good. The price was pretty reasonable for Boston, under $200.

There was also a decent Lebanese restaurant across the street from it.

Edited to add: You might also check out www.fodors.com, particularly their talk section. I received very good information from there on hotels and restaurants for my last few trips.

I stayed at the Boston Park Plaza in March. It is a really nice hotel and in a perfect location. I don't remember the exact rates since work paid for it, but the hotels they put us in are usually middle of the road price wise.

Hi Tammy,
There is a Holiday Inn in Brookline, MA that is walking distance (10 minutes) to Fenway and right on the green line T (subway) that will shoot you straight to Boston. You can even walk into Boston and see all the sites from that location. Last time I checked, it was under $150/night for a room. Enjoy your stay in Beantown!
