Calorie Burn?

Being a bit of a Newbie to this site and Cathe's workouts.....does anyone know approximately how many calories are being burned in "Step Blast"? Doing it at full capacity and stopping only to sip water and wipe the sweat from your brow? Just currious...Thanks.;)
 
Of course, it depend on a lot of things, like weight , step heigh, etc. BUT, I checked in the workout manager for you, and as a guide, it says 376. But, i would say, that the workout manager OFTEN gives me lower counts than I actually get on my heart rate monitor. Sorry I couldn't be of more help! :)
 
It really depends on you. The wo manager numbers are usually higher than my gowearfit device says. I think mine is right also. I think there is just that much variation in calorie burn from person to person.

I am sometimes close to what Cathe has posted but most of the time I am under. I think there are different variables as to your weight and fitness level. I was closer with my last HR monitor. It is a nice guideling though.

the workout manager has calorie burn estimates? couldn't find that, help please....I've not tried that feature but I really would like to see cal. counts too.

my HRM runs a little high I found when compared with blood pressure monitor read out, by 8 points or so...

Thanks Linda for asking that question. I went to the "Workout Manager" and filled out what info I could, but didn't find a calorie counter there either. Maybe Zozo will read this thread or someone else out there could advise. Thanks again!

If you go into the WO manager, log your workout in the calendar (there's an 'add workout' button on the right, then it'll take you to a new screen where you can select the DVD). When you select Step Blast from the drop down, the calories will populate in the Edit Basic Info section (it will only populate calories burned if the duration and the mets are in there).
