Caffeine Reduction Intake, Day #2

I am happily sipping my first cup of coffee today. I used 3/4 regular, 1/4 decaf again today. Maybe tomorrow I will try half and half. I am going to use all of my flavored coffees up since they are caffeined. I am drinking chocolate crumb cake coffee this morning. See why this is going to be hard??

I must confess though. Even though I only drink "two" cups of coffee in the morning and no more during the day, my coffee cup is not what you would call a cup, it is a huge mug. I would hazard a guess that I am actually consuming what most people would consider four regular cups of coffee in the morning.
 
Wow Jane you may motivate me to kick my Starbucks habit.

Now, if only I can get them not to open until after 6:30a, close between 11:00 and 12:00 for lunch and close before 4p, I may have some success.

It sounds like you are really motivated. This maybe easier than you think. I know you are telling me to kiss foot huh?

I have had a good day so far. Drank a little orange juice with bkf and staying away from those sodas. I did buy my DH a diet coke with splenda that I haven't tried yet. I decided that I would take a litte sip to see if it was better than regular diet coke. It was Yuk! The sweet taste left a terrible taste in my mouth. I mean it was a baby sip.

Okay... skipping the caffeine fix this afternoon. First true test. We'll see if I make it through my workouts this evening!!
 
Hi, ladies:

I am watching your progress with interest. I gave up caffeine for Lent a couple of years ago and it was hard. I went cold turkey (that is the only way I can ever give anything up!) and had a headache on and off for about a week. After that it was more the comfort factor that I missed.

I am now sort of sorry I went back to it when Lent was over! Maybe I will cut back with you all. I would rather if I could stick to one cup a day (my "cup" is huge, too, lol).

Anyway, good luck and hang in there!

Thanks Marie, Kim.... I've survived so far with no caffeine since this morning about 7. Did my workout and feeling pretty good.

Thanks for the encouragement. Going half and half in the morning if I don't chicken out.
 
So far so good on the caffeine myself. I should be able to make it to bed time. I tried drinking water last night, and boy was I up all night.

That's what we are here for to support and to encourage each other.
