Morning, girls! :)

I opted to skip the grading and head to bed early last night. Needed the zzz's.

Di :: Yes, I am training for Chicago. I thought I might go for Disney, but October seems a better fit for me than January. How's the WW going? I haven't been tracking points and really need to resume that!

Wendy :: I bought Galloway's book on marathoning and am following one of his programs. The Pyramids are good stuff, aren't they?

Angie :: I bought a new laptop the same day I returned the slow one. I may have forgotten to post that??...glad the white stuff's melted for ya...Our weather has been weird, too...very mild one day and then nippy again the next...the marathon is in October. I've priced some flights and hotel and will likely book within the next few weeks.

Good Morning Cabbers.

I'm up EARLY after going to bed LATE. I am soooo going to need a nap later!LOL I needed to use the bathroom and decided to stay up to get my work out out of the way this morning. I'll be rockin' PUB shoulders, chest and triceps at 6:30 along with some ab work I haven't chosen yet. }(

Cathy: I have Galloway's site bookmarked. I used him when training for my half. I didn't follow his plan verbatim but used his strategy for the long runs and it worked out well. Good luck! I'm so happy for you! :) What's the exact date of the marathon anyway?

Cr@p girl! That's the exact date of the 18 miler! I would have loved to try and get out there to cheer you on! Well, Shelly and I will be running with you that day so think of us and we'll certainly think of you!!!:7 I am sooo excited for you! Is anyone accompanying you to Chicago or are you going it alone so far?
 
Morning Ladies!!

Class last night was INSANE!!! OMG where did they come from .. there was not room for anyone else in there .. I probably had 30 people .. it was CRAZY .. and I was STRESSED .. had a row of newbie chatter giggle boxes and I lost it .. yes I had to "reprimand" them for talking and laughing .. I dont like doing that but w/that many people the music, the stomping on the step, talking and giggling only causes more chaos!! They apologized after class .. they were really bad .. but it was nice of them to apologize .. they had never done step (or any kind of exercise I think) and I think they were laughing to cover up their embarrassment ??? .. none the less .. I left stressed out .. I didn't not dumb down the class .. it was hard .. and I was one big sweat ball .. after that we went to Mama's and had a couple of CABS and gave her her present .. she LOVED it!! whew!!

Cathy - WOO HOO on the marathon committment!! You can do it .. I will be rooting you on in training and in spirit the day of!! :) You got more guts than me girl!! But I have no doubt you will do fine!! It is a good feeling when you finally make up your mind and set a goal and go for it!!:)

Wendy - hate you are gonna be so close to me and I don't get to meet you!! so you have an 18 miler? Is that 1/2 a marathon?? excuse my lack of knowledge .. I never did any races except a 5 K! I will email the recipe to you!!

Di - I am SOOOOO excited about STS!! the pics look awesome and I am looking forward to getting it in my grubby little hands!! With the weight you use you are gonna have to invest in LOTS of plates and dumbbells girl!! LOL .. SIL and I were talking about how whimpy we are compared to the weight they are using in STS .. I am hoping the low reps is the reason they can lift so much!! LOL .. I will email the recipe to you!!

Angie - no more snow!! YAYAYAYAYAA!! I know you and the beagle are glad!! We are still in the upper 70's here .. although here lately it has been dreary and rainy and kinda depressing .. no sunshine at all!! Hoping by the weekend we will get some sun!!

OK Ladies .. today is heavy weights legs in the gym!! I think ... tommorrow I have a hair appnt and won't be able to get to the gym .. so I don't want to miss my leg weights this week. I do have DOMS today in my shoulders - abs - and a bit into the hamstrings .. but no biggie!!

PIA is back;( .. we will see how much work she can get out of this week .. LOL!!! have a great day! and great sweaty workouts .. I will BBL to check in w/you gals!!:7
 
Just reporting heavy legs done! and my legs are HEAVY!!! It was HOT in the gym .. man I got all sweaty .. I hate that .. I look like I have been working out ... dang it!!

Now that the legs are fried I am going to have to come up w/a class format that is doable tonight!! LOL .. I wanted to do 4 step torture class but if I am packed no way will we have enough steps or room ..so I may have to rearrange the core/plyo/plank torture class to make it NOT so hard on the legs! :)

OK .. gotta run ... will BBL to check in on ya'll ... :7
 
Hiya girls

It's kinda quiet in here isn't it? I got up this morning, had my cup o coffee, and got plyoX outta the way.:) I really should do those morning workouts more often. Afterwards I high-tailed it into work to catch up on some stuff. Tomorrow at work should be a breeze. I had back and ab DOMS this morning. Ya....imagine that! I'm not tracking my calories this time and just trying to keep my eating in check. If it's not working for me I can always start tracking it again. But, I'm wearing my "skinny" pants and they're feeling comfortable so I'm gonna just keep doing what I'm doing.

Cathy - I'll bet the extra Z's were welcomed.:) I should've banked some last night myself, but went to bed later than normal b/c I got caught up in a TV show.:7 I was tired though, especially after that X workout.
Oh, I guess I missed that you got another laptop. Did you get the same brand? Are you happy with the new one, minus the cursor problem?
I have to update my quickbooks at work and I'm not sure how it's going to go. I have windows 98 on my work computer and QB 2008 required windows XP or Vista. So, I'm gonna try to update to XP and then try to install the new QB. I'm crossin my fingers that it's going to go smoothly, but since I'm such a computer idiot, I doubt it will go well. I figured I'd just use the XP disc that came with my new laptop. Will that work? The computer at the shop is not on-line so I kinda figured it would be stupid to buy another XP disc if I already have one. Actually, I have 2.....one for each of my laptops.

Laura - Wow! That was a big class! What the usual size of your class?
I hear you about STS. I hope I have enough weights. I'm sure I have plenty to start with. I think I'm really going to love this, especially since it's only a 3 day per week commitment. With that, I can still put in my favorites on the other days of the week.
Our sun disappeared too, but it's in the 50's today and it was only supposed to be in the 40's so I can't complain.

Wendy - Yeah on the early morning workout. Doncha just feel so accomplished when you wipe it out first thing in the day? I just love getting it done....but it's just not my most energetic time of the day ya know?
So, did you find time for a nap?

Angie :: ^^^ 5’s on those skinny pants!!!...So, what show sucked you in?...I did get the same brand (Toshiba)…The cursor problem does not happen all the time…it’s strange. Good luck loading XP and QB! It sounds like if you have the CD, it should work.

I'm gonna grab something to eat and then do Providence. I feel bad, but I just haven't felt like grading at night. I think I will turn in early again.

Hi Ladies,

We ended up doing a full body weights last night in meltdown. We ran for 10 min, then did leg work on the stability disc, walking lunges w/weights, leg curls, leg press, calf raises, run 4 sets of stairs, 2 laps, then on to upper body weights on the stability ball and disc-4 stairs, 2 laps, walk 2 laps before finishing with ab work and some nice stretching.

I didn't want my legs to hurt like they did a couple weeks ago so I opted for lowmax this morning and will do BBC legs tomorrow.

It's been busy at work but I managed to make a costco run at lunch. I picked up a cute pair of capri's and a cute blue top.

Cathy-I'm so excited for you. I've only been to Chicago once, about 2 yrs ago. We drove down Michigan Ave, by millenium park, went to the observation deck in the John Hancock building. The architecture was awesome. I would love to join you but I don't think my feet can handle a FM. You are a trooper! When do you start training? I haven't been to WW in about 3 weeks. I'm thinking of cancelling my membership. I haven't weighed in about 2 weeks but my jeans are fitting nicely.

Wendy-I love the Pyramid series. I like that we can mix & match all of our workouts to fit our needs or goals. When will you start training for the 18 miler?

Laura-30 people in a step class is a lot. I don't think you should dumb down your classes for newbies. They will pick it up eventually. Are you planning on getting Cathe's new pull up bar? I have the door gym so I can probably get by without it. Of course the doorway doesn't face the tv. I'll have to check my home email for the meatloaf recipe.

Angie-Nice job getting plyo x done first thing. Skinny Jeans-WOOO HOOO I fluctuate between 3 sizes and have gone from the highest one to the middle on. I think it has something to do with all the stairs we run in class. That's really the only thing (besides machines) that I don't do at home.

Time for me to head home.

Diana :: my legs quivered just *reading* about that workout...I started training yesterday. :) Am following a pretty conservative Galloway plan...Do understand about the feet issues holding you back...too bad 'cause I would *love* for us to run it together. I read the course description this afternoon and am really pumped about it. I'm still paying for WW online, too. I have not dared get near the scale, though.

OK, I finished one class of graffiti boards. Now it's off to get ready for DWTS. :7

Hi girlz

Cathy - I was watching a re-run of CSI on SpikeTV, but it was one I hadn't seen before and it was a 2 parter. I didn't know it was going to be that way when I first started watching it, or I wouldn't have started watching at all. Tonight is NCIS for me - LOVE that show. The characters totally make me laugh.:7 Then it's BL. I'm sure Laura will chime in about that one tomorrow.

Glad that providence w/o got you in the mood to get caught up on some work. Now, that's a GREAT workout!

Diana - BBC legs is for sure a fryer!!! I know for sure I'd be sore the next day after doing that one.
Thanks also for the kudos. I bought this pair of jeans in the fall of last year. They were too tight for me to wear them comfortably, but they are fitting great now, but it's also TTOM which strangely for me is the time my clothes fit the best. I would love to get into an 8 by the summer....but we'll have to see about that. I'm not sure how the X is going to affect me this time and STS could be interesting too.

The DOMS from yesterdays workout really caught hold of me after dinner. I was a bit surprised how sore I was to be honest. I'm glad I did my w/o this morning before they hit b/c doing it tonight would have been a challenge for sure. Hopefully a good night's sleep will take care of it b/c I think tomorrow is a shoulder w/o.:7 :eek:
