Cabs n' Abs -- it's Friday, baby!!

OK, Wendy aka TFH ;) :7 (or would you prefer Sgt. Wendy?) I did 4DS KB *but* will save SC&C for Sunday. I was in some pain toward the end of KB and figure since I didn't have weights planned for Sunday, it makes sense to do it then. I'm NOT copping out - I WILL do it, I promise!...Am VERY glad you pushed me to get my duff off this chair, though. Thanks again!!! I kept hearing your voice in the back of my head, my very own Barry. :) I should be paying you!

Glad to hear it Cathy! :) I know you'll do that weight work on Sunday. I'll make sure of it!;) Sorry about the back pain. Glad you didn't push it. No need to push and then end up really side-lining yourself. Good for you! NOW you can curl up on the couch for as long as you wish! :+

I am usually pretty good about not blowing things off (a second time) when I decide to re-arrange my rotation for whatever reason and make it up later in the week. Usually I do extended w/outs on the weekends, but Sunday is the day I thought I might run that 10K, so I hadn't planned on anything else. Therefore, it definitely won't be an issue. I love working out hard on the weekends!

Weekdays, on the other hand, do get me sometimes. Tonight I certainly needed a good butt-kickin'. http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_buttkick.gif

This whole back thing, though, is becoming a real nuisance.

I can only imagine how frustrating the back pain is. I know my arthritis frustrates me and it only acts up a handful of time a year!

You reminded me...So how in the heck did you and your cousin go from a 10k race to drinkin' beers instead? I was laugin' like heck when I read that. :D

It was HIS idea, I swear! *lol* I asked him (via email) if he'd registered, and he said no, not yet. I guess he sensed I was hemming and hawing. Well, then I thought he was suggesting we run it but as a training run (no pressure) and go for beers after. It was starting to sound more appealing. And THEN somehow it wound up just being about the beers. NOW you're talkin', buddy. *lol* I haven't touched base with him, so actually, I'm not even sure that's happening.

I don't feel bad about not running it. The past 3 weeks I've only run twice per week. Could I still do it? Yeah. But it's not flat & fast. It's a tough race. I just don't feel a need to push right now. I'm content with a regular run. *shrugs* As you can see, racing remains low on my priority list for now.

Hi girls

I went to work today to finish up that other audit.http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Unhappy/you-fool-038.gif I'm so glad that's over with. I hate it when things pile up on my desk. I really should hire a secretary so I can have more time off but I'm such a control freak that I don't think that would work too well for me either. ACK!

I got home, did some chores, then did Baron's yoga. I loathe yoga, but this 45 minute w/o is doable. I felt a little guilty not adding on some abs, but LIC was a long w/o yesterday so I decided to just let it go. Tomorrow will be a squeeze mish-mosh and maybe a section or two of the slo-mo. We'll see how I feel. I have all day to play with since Grmpa took the boys to hunting camp for the weekend and DH is going up north to get things ready at hunting camp there too. Just me and the beagle for the whole day...ahhhhhhhh!

Diana - So glad to hear Amanda's scare was nothing to worry about. Whew! I'll bet you were all on pins and needles for a while there.
Your new class sounds like another butt kicker! You'll have to fill us in on any new moves you all do. How many folks are enrolled?
Good for you in overcoming your fear and doing that w/o in the basement. I actually think mice are cute, but I don't want them in my house! We actually have a chipmunk problem....but I won't let DH kill them b/c they are cute. They dig the crap out of the lawn though and I have found one of their nests in the garage. They are destructive little sh!ts.
Band work makes me wanna cry too! In fact, I need to order some.....maybe one of the things I can do tomorrow. I'll get a couple of green ones and a purple one too.

Wendy - Thx for the special :p! You had me laughing. :7 The house is....er....not too bad. But, the kids are gone and DH will be gone in the morning so I'm sure I will have a mountain of laundry to do and some minor cleaning as well but nothing too bad. I wish I could get a maid too, but that control freak inside me won't let me do it! I tried it once and felt like I had to clean up before the maid got there so that I didn't look like a slob. I also don't feel right having a stranger in my house....doing something I should be doing. Sounds nutty I know, but no maid for me. That's why I love it when my mom comes over and helps out....now, I'd pay her!!
So did ya pick up some new w/o outfits while shopping?
Congrats on your bosu bargain! I hope Cathe gets some new bosu or rebounder workouts coming. Wouldn't that be awesome???

laura - You nephew is adorable! That outfit is toooooo cute.
Glad the eye problem was a quick fix. Interesting about the toxo, but it sounds like hell to have to deal with.
I really don't like shopping at all. However, I don't mind every now and then, especially if I can get a good bargain.

Cathy - The smilies say it all don't they?? :) *lol*
I get that hermit like feeling too and I look forward to it often. It's funny how I love my alone time but I know when I get older and the kids leave, I'll be hating it. Life's weird eh? I love having weekends with no plans.....just the perfect thing.
Good for you for getting up and doing that workout! I'll bet you feel better not having the guilt clinging to you. Not that Wendy would let you get away with it or anything..... *lol*

Hi Nancy - have a great weekend!

I'll catch up with ya all tomorrow
