YEAH!

It is barely after 3 am, but I couldn't sleep anymore. I actually went to bed at 7 (!!!) last night. I do have to scratch together an assignment sheet for school today, so I figured I'd get up.

Since I missed yet ANOTHER w/out yesterday, I have no idea what I *may* do this afternoon. I'm not putting any pressure on myself and will just go with how I feel by the afternoon.

Laura :: interesting about the BOSU and Reebok balance board...I think I have seen that one in Target also...I'm curious about what makes it better than the BOSU, in your opinion...Thanks ~ I don't feel lousy -- I think I'm resisting the bug -- but I'm just "off" somehow. Mainly, it's the tiredness. I guess I am just a little rundown right now, and the body wants rest. Better get it out of my system before we start the X!!

TGIF Ladies,

Oh my, we had more stair running in class last night. Thankfully it was only for 25 minutes until we could get into the aerobic room. We did circuits once including walking lunges which I love.

While I was at the Dr. they x-rayed my foot again and said the stress fracture is still there. She thinks the pain is due more from a soft tissue injury. She said to ice it and take anti inflammatories. I did ice both my feet last night for 30 mins. (don't worry-10 min on, 10 min off) and they both feel much better this morning. However, I haven't done my BBC w/o yet. Its shoulders and back today.

I also downloaded fitday yesterday and tried to set up my food list. It's not as easy as the free online version, but it does have a lot more features. It's all Cathy's fault! I'm sure I'll enjoy it much more when I have all my foods in there. I wish there was a way to import my food list from my online version.

Cathy-Sorry to hear you were up so early. But I guess if you went to bed at 7 it's to be expected. Maybe you can just do a full body weight w/o this weekend and a run. How do you like the bosu? I've used them at the rec ctr and think they are very hard (just to stand on) let alone do anything else. They are great for working on your balance and your core.

I'll check back later and see what everyone else is up to.

Morning Ladies ..

Well my baby dog is still sick .. he stopped eating last night and would not eat this morning .. he would not even take his treat .. not so sure what is going on w/him .. we are going to call the vet .. I am still praying it is just the tooth ... but I have my doubts now! I am really worried.

Torture class was a success .. not sore like I was last week from it .. ?? .. had a slim class .. so it helped me w/the decision to cancel next week due to the Holidays .. I just had my "die hards" there last night .. and it will be worse next week!

Cathy .. the balance board I liked better b/c it was more stable as far as support .. you could do more with a better form (less risk of injury) .. IMO. you can vary the "wobblyness" of the board .. for jump squats or impact moves the board is sturdier no chance of twisting an ankle .. it also twists from right to left that allows you to add a resisted twist to certain moves .. the routines on the videos were a lot better quality and really fun to do. There is a yoga one that is awesome .. IMO it was just a better tool for lateral and balance training. Although I will say I don't use it that often.
... hope you are feeling better today .. a good rest is always a good thing to help restore some energy!

Di .. sorry about the stress fracture .. did the Dr. say lay off impact moves for a while? Seems you should to give it time to heal. You don't want to make it worse!! (there Dr. Laura goes again) unfortunately w/any injury or strain .. rest, ice, time, and ibuprofen is the best thing for it! (not what we want to hear though)

OK .. gotta run .. thank GOD it is Friday .. I am a bit frazzled w/all that is going on w/the robberies, my baby dog, and work ... hoping for a nice calm weekend!! (no football for us this weekend) DH is on long weekend .. and is going to be hunting .. our LA buds are coming down to hunt .. so we will have some fun w/them .. then we are going out w/DB and SIL Sat. night ..that should be fun!

Hi girls

I just got off amazon. I was up late last night reading BFFM and finally ordered those fat calipers. I also ordered DS a video game for Christmas that he has been HINTING around about. *lol* He's not very discreet with his hints.;) So, since I opted not to go out shopping, I thought maybe I'd at least get one gift out of the way.
I filled the birdfeeders since the birds were landing on the deck yesterday and looking at me like "c'mon girl....it's time!" It'll probably take them a day or two to find that it's now filled but when they do we'll have critters galore. I also cleaned the garage and now I just have LL on my schedule. I thought I'd better get my list done before LL since I hear it's a goodie.

Cathy - At least you won't need to catch up on your sleep this weekend. You've inspired me to get my rebounder out of the box and get it set up today. Even if I don't use it right away, I just know the boys will have a ball with it. Maybe it will take some wind out of their sails....but I doubt it.

Laura - I feel so bad about your dog troubles.:-( Will you be able to get an appointment today or tomorrow? I sure hope it's nothing serious...keeping fingers crossed for you.
Sounds like you have another fun weekend coming up with friends. It is spooky with all the hunters this time of year. I told Cameron he could not go wandering/exploring out on the property this weekend at all! He goes just about every day....just loves the outdoors....but not for a few days. We have about 27 acres of woods behind our house and I think he knows every inch of it. But, I know there are irresponsible folks out there with guns and they really don't seem to care who's property they are on.

Diana - *lol* about the stairs. I could just imagine the look on your face when the instructor said those words. How much longer is your class? Is it the same instructor as the bootcamp class?
Did you use spark before for your food diary? You'll have to keep us posted on how you like fitday.

Gotta go and finish up some paperwork.....have a teriffic weekend!:)

Just wanted to duck in real quick and say....OH MY GAWD!!:eek: }( Leaner legs was kickin! My legs shook and are still feelin like jello. Those low end pulses really....um....get the low end.:p And the sit and stands.....I won't even go there. I was going to add on great body abs but Cathe added on abs to that one too, so I opted for HIS cardio only. At first I wasn't sure my legs were gonna make it, but the cardio helped to work the kinks out. I think I will be less sore tomorrow b/c of it. So, a whopping 679 calories later.....I am on the couch. Ahhhhhhhhhh;-)

Diana :: I love the descriptions of the classes that you take…I’m glad the ice is helping. Wonder what brought on the soft tissue injury – maybe favoring the foot?…It is time-consuming to enter the foods in FitDay…I haven’t been using it since I joined WW...I do still track my weight in FitDay, though. And I miss seeing the macronutrient breakdown…I only “tested” the BOSU a little last night – I think I’ll like it. I’ll probably order Amy’s hi/lo dome workout. Someone on the cheetahs thread said it was a good one.

Laura :: oh no, sorry to hear the pooch is still under the weather…I hope it’s nothing serious…keep us posted...thanks for the info on the balance board…if the BOSU doesn’t work out for me, then maybe I’ll check it out. Enjoy your weekend – I think you need to rock out after the week you’ve had!

Angie :: I bought fat calipers, too, but I don’t think I know how to use them right. *lol* Maybe when you get yours, you can explain it to this dunce. :7 Good job knocking out another gift. I haven’t started. My goal is usually to wrap up by the end of Black Friday weekend, but since it’s early this year, I'm making Dec. 1st my goal.

I am going with another day of rest tonight. I suppose I should feel refreshed after banking some zzz's last night, but I can't say that I do. I'll probably go to bed fairly early again. Tomorrow afternoon, I will work out after class and another tanning session. Initially, I only planned to fake bake pre-cruise, but I have to say I enjoy the warmth and like the tan look on me. I might keep doing it until the Colorado trip (Dec.), and after that, I better go with the tan in the bottle.

I bought some Uggs through zappos, and I hate them. No offense if anyone here owns them, but I do not care for the look. I bought a slightly different style in black that I thought looked less "flat-footed" than the original style, but I don't like them on me. They looked cuter in the picture. So I have to return them. I'd like to find a nice winter boot that I can wear to Colorado and not worry about breaking my neck on the sidewalks. The boots I usually wear are kinda high-maintenance, I guess you could say. I like a nice heel, but they're too slippery. Enough rambling...

Sorry I wasn't around today. I was down in the dumps about some stuff so I wasn't in a posting mood.

I did about 30 mins of Long and Lean Yoga tonight. Not sure what I'll do tmrw. I'll have to see what I'm in the mood for when the time comes.

Sorry you didn't care for the Uggs, Cathy. Doesn't Zappos offer free return shipping? If so, then no harm done, right? :)

Laura, Sorry about your baby dog still being sick. Go to the vet and keep us posted!

Hey Ladies,

I didn't have the phones today so I made it a point to get to the rec ctr since I didn't have time for BBC cardio this morning. It was nice to do the elliptical for 40 min (steady state). I also planned on doing the stepper for 20 min but my buns and calves were screaming so I only ended up doing 6 mins. I'm sure it's from running those damned stairs!

I need to decide what to do next week. I'm leaning towards the GS workouts. I have to work on TG but was able to switch from n-6pm to 6am-noon. This allows me to have TG with the family, but I won't be able to wo. If I did the afternoon shift, I could still wo in the morning.

Laura-I hope your baby doesn't have anything serious. Hopefully it's just the tooth and antibiotics will clear it up. My fingers are crossed for you. I agree, better to cancel classes for next week and enjoy that time off. The dr. did say no high impact (like that's gonna happen), ice and ibuprofen.

Angie-I've used fitday.com for years but having hearing Cathy talk about fitday pc I decided to download it. I'll probably have all the foods in there and will need to take my pre X measurements. I did not lose any weight during the last round of the X and am wondering if that program is the best choice for me. I am looking forward to it though. I was not happy when she said we were doing stairs again.}(

Wendy-Sorry your down in the dumps today. Hopefully things will look brighter tomorrow.:)
