Well the sun finally came out!! and it is not as humid today .. thank goodness!

Di .. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!:eek: I am so sorry all of this is happening on your birthday .. the spa trip was well deserved .. and probably WAY past due!! If the facial helped that much on the eyes .. sign me up .. I tend to have dark circles under my eyes .. between minimal sleep and constant sinus problems .. I dont know if there is any hope!!! LOL ... I hate you are having to deal w/the MIL being ugly on top of everything else you have been dealing with .. sometimes people are so selfish and only think of themselves ... I think you could set her straight in a kind way if it comes to it .. but I hope it doesnt come to it .. that is only added pressure and hurt feelings for you to have to deal with!! Bless your heart!!!

Ang .. WOW you had my kinda a day yesterday .. think everyone did .. all the girls in my class were ILL and just "down" ... I did releive a LOT of stress last night :p... class was a killer .. SIL has called already complaining this morniing .. DOMing everywhere .. did 4 step plyo and plank/core and pushup class but added lower body heavy weight shaping :eek: in there!!

Wendy .. you never said how the race went ??? I know you did great though .. and I am really impressed w/the yoga dedication .. but if you can do progressive yoga .. girl you can do anything .. LOL .. YOWZA!! SIL said she was NOT going to do those DVD's w/me .. loL!

OK ... it is the third and BUSY in here gotta run .. hope everyone is having better day than yesterday!!! :D have a great one!
 
Laura: Sorry I forgot to post my race time. I finished in 28:17 but they have me listed as 28:15 because the dumb dumb that came in right in front of me did not stay in order in the chute. She stopped to wait for someone (dope!) so she lost her place. I imagine my bib # got matched up with her time which is why it's a couple seconds faster. No biggie. It's a PR no matter what! :) Next time I want to try to break 28 mins. I was soooo close but I got a killer side stitch that I had to walk off so it killed my pace. Oh well. These things happen...

Di: I think doing it once a week for 30-60 mins is good. I noticed a difference when I did yoga once a week during my X rotation. I am sure for the ultimate benefit you should probably do it 3x or more but who has time for THAT!? LOL Glad you treated yourself to spa day. You deserve it. I still have a spa pkg waiting for me from my B'day. I am trying to decide when to use it. Currently I am considering using it in October some time around my race. :)

Ang: Yeah I went to the yoga class last night. It was okay but it was a different instructor and I didn't care for her much. I liked the tuesday am class instructor MUCH better but I can't take that class this month cause I have to work. :( See Laura's post for the race run-down. :) Sorry about the snafu with MIL's car but I'm glad the guy at the shop saw the light and apologized for being a jerk to her. Have fun camping the next 2 weekends. I know what you mean about wanting the weekend to yourself but soon enough you will have an entire winter of weekends to yourself so take advantage of camping while ya can! :)

Today's work out was a 6 mile run with Grace by my side. :)

So far the DOMS from y'day's B&G mish mosh is just barely there but I have a feeling it will kick in tonight or tomorrow. You'll be hearin' me whimper when I got to sit on that toilet seat soon enough! LOL :p

Well, gotta hit the showers. I have to take DS to his school in an hour to visit his classroom and meet his teachers and after that we have to go food shopping. I can't believe he starts TOMORROW!!!! EEK! :eek:

Hey cabbers

The weather today was perfect for a run, so after doing CM segment one, I went ahead and took off. The knees feel good, but the tops of my toes got some blisters. I guess the inserts are good for the knees but bad on the toes.:confused: My hips were just starting to feel normal again from the run on Saturday, but the soreness is already creeping in.

Laura - So glad you got some sun.:) Bout time eh?? We're supposed to get the Gustuv remnants this Friday.....2-3 inches of rain, but we need it. Hopefully it will dump before Friday evening so we can set up camp without getting soaked.
I think everyone had the "back to work after a long Holiday weekend" blahs. But, now I'm already looking forward to the weekend.:)

Wendy - OK - stupid question here, but is a 10K 6 miles? 28 min. sounds like a great time.
Is Joey excited to be going to school? Take lots o' pics! I get pics of the boys every year and they always look like they'd rather be getting a root canal. LOL! They complain like crazy, but I take the pics anyways.

Well, I took MIL back to the garage today so she could pay for and pick up her car. The guy that gave her all the BS the other day was at the counter. She made a comment about how she was not happy about how she was treated and he started arguing with her again. Well, I tried to explain to this thick headed jerk that it wasn't her fault and that he was taking his anger out on the wrong person. He just didn't get it at all!!!:mad: Then he said he should have charged her for unlocking her car and moving it. Wha??? I told the SOB that if he had an issue, he should take it up with the towing center and not his customers. MIL was soooo upset. I would have loved to stay and b!tch at him all day long, but it wasn't doing MIL's nerves any good. I told her "let's just go and we'll never be back!" With that we were gone. Oh how I wish I could see karma get even with that $#@^%$! I've been steaming about it all night.....so the run helped.:)

Tomorrow will be lots of cleaning and packing again for this weekend. I hope the weather is nice. I should get started tonight........nah!
