Good Morning Girls.

Surprisingly I don't have DOMS from 4DS legs y'day! Today will be a run and 4DS bis and tris.

Di: Glad you were able to squeeze in a good leg work out y'day. I know how you are missin' the weights amidst your marathon training. I am supposed to start training for my 18 miler when I get back from vaca and I just have no motivation to do it. The scale is up and I am trying DESPERATELY to get it down. I don't think long distance race training is going to help. :( What to do? :confused: Glad you have your RT stuff in order. I haven't even looked at any of it yet. I get the emails, scan 'em quickly and then move on. I just can't be bothered. UGH, I sooooo hope this feeling changes SOON!

Ang: Sorry about the insurance woes. We've all been there and it sucks! I hope it works out in your favor in the end though. Oh how fun if your BF comes camping with you! I KNOW you'll need extra CABS for that!:D I intend to rock the CABS this weekend while I'm away! I will think of you!

So I am going to sign up for the trial membership of the nutrtion program when I get back from vaca. Anyone else thinking of doing this? Cathy signed up and said despite some bugs that need to be worked out, that the program is nothing short of AMAZING! I'm sold!:)

Good Morning Ladies,

I shouldn't even be on the computer yet since I haven't done my 3 mile run. I'm a little tired this morning and can't find my ipod. I fear I left it sitting on my desk at work. If that's the case-it could be gone. I've only been using it on occasion and only for the shorter runs. I read that you should train without them as they affect your pace. I don't really see any harm in running to the beat of the music. I will be heading out the door as soon as I finish this cup of coffee.

DH and I both took the week off next week. We will be staying home and working on house stuff that desperately needs to be done. Things like regrouting the shower walls, painting, purging old stuff, cleaning out the garage etc. All the stuff that needs to be done that we never have time to do.

Wendy-the scale is up for me too:mad: I'm sure some of it is due to lack of weight training and HIIT cardio. My feet have really been hurting these past few days; moreso after the shorter runs than the long. Go figure. When do you go on vacation-and where are you going? I am thinking of getting signing up for the nutrition software also.

I'll check back to see what everyone else is up to. I gotta get my run on...

Morning Ladies!

Yesterday I was at our Safety Symposium .. pretty good this year .. .. thought we would get out early but it ran long .. ... I was expecting to get on home early and have a pre-anniversary celebration w/DH but he had to work over!!!! .. Isn't that the way it goes???

Wendy and Di .. HOW can your weight be up w/all the running you two have been doing??? I dont see how that is possible .. reading all the miles you two put has made me feel like I need to find time to run some more too ... I have been feeling fat here lately ... but the scales disagree ?? .. but I feel "puffy" .. the last 2 weeks I had to stomach bug (everything just went straight on thru) .. and now that I am better I guess that is why I am feeling blown up ..???

My friend w/cancer made it thru the surgery just fine .. THANK GOD:D .. they said the surgery went better than expected .. but I have not been able to talk w/her .. I am sure she needs to rest and build up some strength anyway!! Thanks for the positive vibes and prayers ... keep 'em coming b/c she needs all she can get ...

Angie .. me and you are in a rut w/the exercise .. I am feeling a bit of burnout .. but know I HAVE to exercise .. cant wait to get STS to spice things up a bit!!! Hope you have a good camping trip .. and BF is going .. good .. you will have a ball!! How is Miss Maggie doing??

Well .. today I am planning on a heavy weighted shaping routine .. time to burn up those calories and set the muscles on fire!!

This Sat. is my 22nd anniversary .. ... and yes we are supposed to be going deep sea fishing .. real romantic huh???:confused: .. DH does not "get" the romance thing very often .. but if the seas are good .. we will be burning up on the deep sea and hopefully catching fish .. and for sure be chilling w/some CABS!!!:cool: .. it is going to be weird going down and not having my big babies w/us and going to the house and knowing it is not ours any more ... (our boat is still on the lift there) ... will be bitter sweet :(

I'm back from the gym. I did ITread 20/30 mins. Good work out. She takes up in speed consistently for seveal mins then lets you walk it out. Takes you up a little faster for another seveal mins then walks you out and finally takes you up one last time and adds a 2% incline to the speed before bringing you down to a slower paced jog for the final recovery. I enjoyed it. I worked hard. I have 4DS Bis and Tris on tap for nap time. I normally like to do weights before cardio but arse was not lifting ANYTHING this morning! LOL Tomorrow morning I am hoping to have enough spunk to bang out 4DS BootCamp cardio before DS gets out of bed. ;)

Di: We head out tmrw morning around 11am for Ocean City, MD. We are meeting DH's sister's fam and 2 other families down there. Everyone is staying for a solid week. We are coming back Tuesday. That was my choice. I am bringing my 20# kettlebell, my highstep topper, 1 riser and my gymboss with me so that I can work out in my room while we are gone. I highly doubt there is any kind of fitness facility available as we are not staying in some large fancy hotel. We have an efficiency room though so I am hoping to be able to find some room for a couple full body bell work outs and some HIIT sessions (which is what the highstep/topper and gymboss are for). I will also ofcourse bring my running kicks just incase but I really don't know if I'll be using them or not. I'll have to see what it's like...
I hope you get alot accomplished during your week off with DH. I wish my DH would take some time to get stuff done around the house. He talks a good game but when it comes down to it he is pretty useless. How was your run this morning? Did you find your ipod?

Laura: The stomach bug probably accounts for your weight loss/bloat issue I am sure. Once your body is back at 100% I am sure things will go back to normal for you. Have fun this weekend. Happy anniversary! I am sure you will create romance AFTER fishing. We know you are always good for that! LOL

Morning cabbers

Ok - how do you get these darned icons to work?? Every time I click on one, it goes next to the title box.

I've been knocking out some of my to-do list this morning so I thought I deserved a bit of a break and chat with my girls.:) How's that for an icon?? *lol*

Wendy - I think the emails for the RT tend to get a bit overwhelming. I'm the same way. I just don't want to deal with it right now. I haven't even been visiting the RT forum. It's not that I'm not excited to go, but I feel a bit disconnected from it right now. Weird, I know. Although, I have gotten just a few things around that I'm going to need for the RT.
Well cheers to us this weekend! I definitely have CABs packed and ready to go. It should be interesting though, since it's been quite a while since I've had a CAB.
Hopefully the insurance will work itself out. We're taking the camper tomorrow afternoon regardless of what they all decide to do. We haven't decided yet if we are coming home Sunday or Monday...it will depend on how busy DH is with work. If this insurance thing becomes a big hassle, I will have no problem yanking it from my agent and going elsewhere. I just hope it doesn't come to that.
The nutrition program looks awesome! I'll probably take the plunge, but I will be waiting until after Labor Day to do it. I just have no motivation to eat clean right now. I haven't gotten on the scale, but even if it's the same, it's probably b/c I'm losing muscle that I put on doing the X.
You're going to workout on vacation? You go girl! I'm not gonna even think about it this weekend. LOL! BF is not one to exercise, even though she knows she should. We might take some nice long walks and lift some CABs but that will probably be the extent of it.

Diana - Oh I hope that ipod is safe and sound. You can't trust your co-workers not to take it??
I'd love to take a week off to concentrate on the house. I NEED to devote more time to it. Actually I think I will be calling a masonary today to get some ideas on sprucing up some things around here and fixing that damn retaining wall. I won't let Maggie out there on that cable until it is all safe and sound.

Maggie is doing very well. I'll have to get some pics up. I haven't taken one of her yet. I'm sure I'll have lots of them this weekend though.

Happy Anniversary!! 22 years is a lot to be proud of for sure. Wow! My DH is not a romantic either. He does buy flowers for anniversarys and sweetest day and stuff like that, but that is pretty much the extent of it. That's OK though. He makes me laugh and that is worth so much more to me than being romantic.
The dogs aren't going with you? Is that b/c you will be staying at a hotel? I hope the memories aren't too much of a downer for you. Just keep in mind.....everything happens for a reason. Hang on to that.....keeping that in mind almost always helps me deal with bad things.

Hi Ladies,

My short 3 mile run was tough this morning. I'm embarrassed even saying this. I didn't leave the house until 7:30, the shade I usually have on one of the streets was non existent because the sun was too high, then the hill seemed to go on forever. I actually had to walk a bit near the top of the hill. I will be heading to the rec ctr for Chest & Tricep wts at lunch. I have killer BC class tonight too.

Wendy-I hope you have a great time on your vacation. I'm sure you will have a great time and a nice change of pace too. Hopefully you will put your w/o equip. to good use while you are away. We decided to skip vacation because everything is so expensive right now. We are also waiting to find out what our loan payment will be for Zach's college. (I'm not looking forward to that).

Laura-I'm glad your friend is doing so well. I will certainly keep sending healing vibes and well wishes her way. Sorry you haven't been feeling that great lately. Even though I'm running, I don't get in as much exercise time as I did before. I would do an hour of cardio and an hour of weights almost everyday. Now my focus is on mary training so I'm not doing much else. I try to hit the weights for each body part at least once a week but that doesn't always happen. Congrats on 22yrs!!! My DH isn't the romantic type either but he does keep me laughing.

Angie-I wasn't feeling much like working out this morning but made myself go since it was only a 3 miler. Who knew it would be so tough! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of Maggie! I hope you get everything straightened out with the insurance for the trailer. What a pain... Have a wonderful weekend camping with BF.

LOL .. OK .. so me, Di, and Angie have the NONromantic guys that make us all laugh ... Wendy you must be the one w/the romantic guy!!;)

My DH does make me laugh ... and is always surprising me .. he certainly keeps me on my toes .. but his idea of romance is taking me hunting w/him .. or cooking something he knows I love but rarely eat ...LOL. he does go out of his way to find me the sweetest and personal cards...!! If he spends money on flowers it is b/c he forgot or he is in the dog house .. LOL ..

the gifts are usually always something "we" need .. LOL .. but that is ok .. as long as it is not something that causes me to WORK .. LOL .. he bought me AND installed some outside BOSE speakers for the pool for my anniversary present which surprised the heck out of me .. that is THE PERFECT present .. he did good this year!:D
 
Well I don't know if my DH is a romantic but he sure is more romantic then I am! LOL Not being a romantic myself, I am obviously not that into the romance thing so I actually prefer a guy who's not too gushy. LOL My DH makes me laugh too and my son is taking right after him! They are both giant goofballs! :D

So I overextended my nap this afternoon which means I am groggy and not going to be doing my nap time work out. I will have to do it tonight or tomorrow morning. I was actually seriously considering taking a rest day tmrw and nixxing my 4 DS bootcamp cardio plan. Looks like the cardio is out the window for sure, and if I don't work out tonight then the rest day idea is a gonner as well! OOPS.

I just finished washing a ton of clothes. Now I have to fold, put away and then figure out what I'm taking on vacation with me so I can pack tonight. We are supposed to be leaving during the late morning tomorrow...around 11am so I need to be packed tonight cause with the exception of last minute toiletries I will *NOT* be wanting to pack in the morning. :p

Off to grab some java...BBIAB!

Hi Ladies,

I'm back to report that I did chest & triceps at the gym today. Bootcamp will be really tough tonight because we do tons of pushups and dips. I'm sure my arms will be quivering.

Laura-outdoor speakers are awesome. Especially since you live in a rural area and won't have pissy neighbors. It sounds like you and are gonna be the only ones around this weekend-or not. Your going fishing-right?

Wendy-sorry you overslept but you must've needed the extra sleep. I need to do Shoulders & Biceps tomorrow and that will leave me time for a short cardio too. You've got me considering the blasts of BM2, or Drill Max-cardio only.

Evening girls

Geesh - I feel like I've been going and going and going all day long. It feels good to sit and relax! I took Wendy's idea and did 4DS SCC and CC#2. It was a longer workout than I wanted but since I won't be working out again for several days it was OK. My knee gave me some problems with the 4DS portion, but was great during the CC portion. It was like it just froze up and I couldn't bend it and it hurt like crazy. I had to pause the workout a couple of times to walk it out. Hope it was a short term thing and won't be giving me any more problems.

Wendy - I'm like you on the packing thing. I got everything packed today since we will be leaving around 9 and I am NOT a morning person. I told DH it's pretty sad that I will have to set the alarm to get ready to go on vacation.:eek: *lol*
I got the laundry, vacuuming, linens, and dishes done today since I HATE coming home to a mess. We drag enough of a mess home after a long weekend of camping so the last thing I need is to get home and worry about cleaning the house. It feels like today is the first day I've had off in ages, and it was spent doing housework. Ain't life great?
Have a wonderful time with the family on vacation!!!

Diana - Good job pluggin thru that 3 miler when you just weren't feelin' it. I know how that feels! And then you added weights and still have BC to go.....Whew! I don't know where you find the energy.
So are you pretty satisfied with the mary training results?
Do you have a long ride to the airport for the RT or is it just a short trip for you?

Laura - Bose speakers by the pool????? What an awesome idea for a gift! It's nice that he put some thought into that. My DH is a terrible gift giver. He never thinks ahead on holidays or birthdays. He's one of those Christmas Eve shoppers. Actually, we no longer exchange gifts b/c I was getting tired of the crappy gifts like the isotoner slippers, jewelry I would never wear, chia pets, etc. *lol* OK - maybe he never bought a chia pet, but I could see that coming so I just told him to stop buying me gifts!
Hope you have a fabo weekend with DH. Hope you catch lots o' fish!! Cheers!
