Today will be some CTX upper body and abs.

Good Morning Girls

My legs and back are already DOMing from yesterdays heavy weight session. I'm heading down for stepblast after I finish my coffee. If I can get away at lunch, I'll hit the rec ctr for some upper body weights.

I went through all the sympathy cards last night and had planned on writing out the thank you notes but I just couldn't do it. I'll give the thank you notes another try tonight. Thanks again to all of you for your kind words and support during this time.

A group of us from work are volunteering at nearby foodbank this afternoon. We will be sorting and giving out boxes of food.

Morning Ladies!

Hey looks like Ike is headed away from us ... WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!:D

Last night was 60 min super cardio step .. and the room was hot again .. they put the dang air on 80 degrees!! WTH??? anyway .. it was a sweat fest .. and we all left a bit red faced!!:confused:

Ladies .. SIL and myself are starting back on the X!!!!:eek: Yes we decided we are gonna get prepared for the STS program and both are feeling not up to par on the heavier lifting .. I am going to make my own rotation out of it .. since I have to take into consideration whatever I am teaching at night too!! ANY TAKERS??? hhhmmmmmm .. wanna join us?????:rolleyes:

Today is going to be heavy weighted legs in the gym .. didn't make it yesterday .. tonight's class will be 4 step - plyo - upper body shaping!!

Wendy and Di .. you are both DOMing today .. I am jealous .. that is the only thing about cardio .. doesn't really feel like you got a above average w/o .. at least not to me .. now when I do Interval cardio .. I do ..but not just super cardio .. I am sure tommorrow I will be complaining away though . . YIKES!!

Di .. did you make it to BC?? If so what torture was in store for you. Dont fret over the thank you notes .. take your own sweet time on that!!

Ang .. hope you are feeling more like your usual feisty self today . . when do you go to the Dr for the ultrasound?? still sending positive vibes your way!!

Laura: Di and Ang were just talking about possibly starting the X in October and I just might join 'em so perhaps our check in will have to go back to it's original name but um...what was it? I forget!!!!LOL

Off to wash the dishes and shower. Heading for MIL's house in a bit...

Hello girls

Sorry I was MIA yesterday but I was sick.:confused: DH had a bug over the weekend and the dearheart then gave it to me.:mad: I break a sweat just sitting upright. So, needless to say I did not workout yesterday nor will I today. I did KPC Sunday and then around noon yesterday I felt like I wanted to die. I went home early and was in bed all afternoon and night. My whole body ached and I wasn't sure if it was from DOMs from KPC or just generalized body aches. You know I usually don't mind the DOMS but I could've done without them yesterday. It was a chore just to find a comfy position in bed. Ug! But, I am feeling better today....still no energy and still sweating just sitting up, but better nontheless. I was actually able to eat a breakfast bar today....wooohoooo! *lol*

Thanks to all of you for the good vibes with the breast issue. I'm not too worried about it.....at least I don't think I am. I really don't think it's anything ominous, but it does make you think about things a bit differently. I think it's just a cyst or fibrous tissue, but still, I really don't want it there. I guess I'll get the results and then go from there. The ultrasound is next Tuesday so I'll keep ya all posted.

Laura - How funny about the ID thing. That's awesome! ;)
So does your cyst bother you? I guess what I mean is, I'm feeling like I don't want it there and would like it removed even if it's nothing so it doesn't turn into something. I really don't know much about it. I'm sure I'll get an education next week though.
So glad you had a fun time in Biloxi and glad to hear Ike is gonna leave you alone. I hope it's not as bad as everyone thinks.
Maybe the new "hot" aerobic class will start a hot new trend.:p I'll bet your students bring extra water with them, at least I hope so.
OK, when are you starting the X? It's high time I trade the pudge for some muscle. Although, I might do a modified X rotation and do a 3-4 X workout rotation with Cathe's and CC mixed in as well. Kind of an STS gear up type of thing. I like the idea of STS only having a 3 day a week must on the workouts.

Wendy - So glad you are working out for me.;) I'm impressed that you are still on the CTX rotation. *lol*

So what are you doing with your 6 whole hours of free time every day?? It's crazy how that time gets eaten up. I remember going from full time work to part time and I still don't have the time to get anything done. If I had to go back to full time I don't know what I'd do.

Diana - So sorry Jarod has started his school year on such a a rocky note. Thankfully kids are resilent. I think it's a great idea to nix the TV in favor of schoolwork and football. I'm sure that's easier said than done.
I feel so bad for you. ((((hugs))))) IA that the folks who sent those cards certainly don't want them to be a burden on you. You'll get to them when you get to them. Give yourself some time.
Did you sign up for the nutrition program? I need to do that soon. My eats have been horrible lately. I need to get some new ideas on how to rein it all in. I know I need to increase the veges and fruits!! Ahhhhh....story of my life.

I think I'm going to go and put on some soup. I actually feel like eating again so I'll give it a shot and hope my body is ready.

Poor thing. Sorry you are feeling crappy. (((HUGS))) Hope the soup makes ya feel a little better. Gotta love comfort food. We were just discussing our different comfort foods today at work. YUMMY! :)

Here's a quick snap shot of my day since Joey began school:

Wake up 6-6:30 and have coffee/computer time.
7:00 wake up DS and start packing snacks, lunches, work out clothes, etc. for day.
7:30 eat breakfast and get dressed for school and work.
8:00 leave to drop Joey off at school by 8:10ish.
8:20 Usually heading back to car by now and then it's off to Dunkin to pick up MORE coffee :) and then head into work! 9:00-12:00 work. UGH. LOL
12:00-2:00 Eat lunch, work out, shower.
2:10 Head out to pick Joey up at school at 2:20.

I'm definately on a tighter schedule and missing my naps ;) but I like it better this way. The more free time I have the less I get done, believe it or not. I think that's why being a SAHM actually didn't work out all that well for me. If I have another baby I intend to put him/her in daycare faster and get myself back to work.

So when are you all thinking of starting the X again?? I will definately modify it if I do it but I am interested for sure! I'd be up for starting as early as Sunday the 28th of this month since it runs into the month of October. :) Any thoughts?
 
Ang .. Dang hate you got DH bug!!:( that could have added to your ill mood!! You were coming down with something .. I hate the weak sweats .. ooohhh .. that is the worst!! Isn't it funny when your sick all you want is chicken soup .. I know that is what our mother's always told us .. but Dr.'s back up the chicken soup theory ... said it is the best thing for a bug/cold!! Soup .. Hydrate .. Rest!! KPC probably just let that bug in and run amuck!! dang it .. {{{{ healing positive vibes }}} coming your way!!:)

My cyst ..I have one on my breast - it is so deep .. right where the breast meets your armpit .. really deep .. I probably would not have found it if I didn't have small breast!! LOL (one advantage I suppose) .. but I check it just about every morning .. my OBGYN does every year .. and I have my mammograms done .. so I am ok w/it! As long as it doesnt change .. the location of it is such that if they did a lump-ectomey they would have to remove about 1/3 of my breast .. uuuummmm .. no thanks .. I need what little bit I got . . unless it changes the Dr. said he saw no need in surgery!! But even if it is ok (which I am sure it is) if it bothers you and you want it out .. I would consider it and talk it over w/your Dr!!

Well SIL met and did heavy weights on the legs .. YOWZA .. she is already calling saying they are heavy and stiff .. mine are ok .. but walking out of the gym they were a bit wobbly .. LOL .. still gonna try to teach the 4 step ..but may be more UPPER body than lower body going on tonight!! LOL:eek:

Hey Wendy .. if you dont mind me asking what kind of food do you feed your dog?? Has he had any more bouts w/allergies. My Toots .. I am having a time w/her .. and have been reading a lot about organic dog food and considering switching .. ??? Ang .. what about little Maggie.. what do you feed her?

Toots skin is dry - flaky - and itchy .. nothing I have done has helped .. Buster is fine now .. but she is not responding the same the vet says .. different dog .. different allergies .. but I hate to keep giving her steroids .. just wondering if you have any input on it???

Thankfully I think the soup worked. I feel much better! I can actually sit up without breaking into a sweat.....at least for now. I can feel my energy coming back....oh, happy day. DH only had his bug for 24 hours, so I'm hoping that is the end of it.

Laura - IA the hot/cold "sweats/chills" feeling is the worst!! Although the headache, nausea, and generalized body aches didn't help.:p On the bright side, my eating was well under control yesterday. I guess that's one way to do it.........but I would NOT recommend it. LOL!
Right now we feed Mags pretty much anything she wants. For the most part she is still on the puppy chow, which the vet recommended for 6 months. However we have also been feeding her some of Kirbys stuff too, just to get it used up. Have you tried the Iams or Science Diet stuff? Maybe there's a specific dogfood just for dog allergies?

Wendy - There's not much wiggle room in that schedule. I didn't know you were working every day. It's nice that you have your workout time in there before you have to pick up Joey from pre-school.
I'm game for the X whenever you all are. I haven't done any pull ups since my last X rotation and they hurt so good. I really need to get back at it.

SIL and I are starting the X tommorrow!!:confused: well again .. my modified version of it. All be it I know even the modified version is gonna kill me!! We decided we needed to "man up" on the weights if we were going to give STS our all!!

But Wendy if you want to officially start this weekend .. lets do it .. I will call the week PRE-X ... the warm up for the real thing!! LOL:p .. I cant remember our Pre- CABS name either .. but I like the CABS and ABS .. it suits us!! :D

tight schedule .. but boy.. how I would love to only have those work hours... that would be about right for me to fit my running, weights, yoga, and doggie time in!!! LOL .. HA .. never happen ... I leave the house at 6:20 and get home at 7:30 ... w/a one hour lunch hour to do errands (which is usually spent in the gym)!! LOL

ok .. it is 5 .. WOO HOO ... I am outta here!!
 
Hi Ladies,

I never made it to the rec ctr today. It was too busy at work and I had to leave early to volunteer at the food bank. Tomorrow will be some kind of upper body wts, not sure if I'll do CTX or 4DS CST and a short cardio.

You guys aren't going to believe this, but my bootcamp trainer borrowed my P90X w/o's a couple of weeks ago. I was planning on starting in October or end of the month. I don't think she was planning on doing a rotation, just getting more tortuous ideas for pushups etc that she can use in our outdoor BC class.

My MIL, SIL and I are planning on going to Oregon next month to visit my grandbaby girlies. I'm so excited to see them.

Angie-so sorry you've been ill. It sounds like you're on the mend now. I'm glad you are starting to feel better. I hate being sick. I don't get sick very often, but I'm usually down for the count when I am. I did sign up for one month of the nutrition program. I did like it, but it did have some bugs that may be worked out now. One example is I was always under on potassium but they finally realized they had the incorrect RDA for that nutrient. I'm starting ww on Thursday so I'll be counting points instead.

Wendy-I didn't realize Joey was in school all day. What an adjustment that must be for both of you. I'm at the point where I'd like to work part time and clean out the clutter in my house. That won't be happening any time soon though.

Laura-starting the X tomorrow-that's not enough notice. I do the pre X concept and realize you will be doing your own X rotation. I do have the X+ dvds I could use instead.

I sure wish we would get an update regarding the release of STS.
